Finally, we reached Bangkok. Being the Kaisu bunch, we went for breakfast earlier so that we can get on the first few bus to bangkok. However, due to some unforeseen circumstances (erm...dad loh...), we were delayed and we got on bus no. 20!! It took us almost 1 and a half hrs to reached Central World Plaza (which is just opposite Aroma Hotel where Xuehui and i stayed when we were there last year). This is the central meeting place for star cruise passengers. As its almost noon when we reached, we headed straight down to Chinatown for the ever famous Shark's Fin Soup and Birdnest!
The cab there is damn cheap. It only cost us about 80 Baht (~ S$3.30). The resturant we went to is 海外鲜. We each ordered a claypot of shark's fin soup and birdnest, plus some other dishes to share.
The shark's fin soup cost 300 Baht (~ S$12.80) and the birdnest cost only 100 baht (~ S$4.20). I would grade the shark's fin soup as SHIOK!! And only ok for the birdnest...so next time when u guys go to Bangkok, Chinatown, remember to go and try them!!
After lunch, we went to buy some 土产 for our colleagues. As sis and parents wanna go back to Central World Plaza to shop and me n law wanna go to MBK, we parted our ways and is to meet later in the evening. One thing to note about the cabs in Thailand, not only are they cheap, but the interior quality of the car is so much better than those "lau po ka" of singapore's cab! And the colour is damn sweet too..hehe, we managed to get on a PINK cab.
It was a mad rush shopping for us as there are a lot of things to buy and too little time. We only have about 4 hrs on hand and we wanna go to Pratunam market too, thus its rush, rush and rush! Actually if you are those who doesn't mind buying intimation goods and can really bargain, you will be able to get alot of stuffs from Bangkok...I dun mind getting intimation goods, but when it comes to bargaining, haha...law said that i am hopeless :P. Anyway, i managed to get some undergarments at MBK - Tokyo, and Law got a pair of Bata shoe, a short and a Cola souvenir for Fendi. After that we made our way down to Pratunam market. Actually wanna get a cab, but we waited for quite some time and no cab seems to wanna stop, so in the end we hoped onto the "tu-tu". It cost us 80 baht and its consider as VERY expensive comparing the distance from MBK to Pratunam is very near.

My last experience with Pratunam market wasnt a good one. Maybe its because its the first time Xuehui and I went there and we dun really know where to walk, thus ended up buying nothing. However its diff this time round with Law around!! He brought me around as thou he owns that place (even thou his last time there was like more than a yr ago)!!! I managed to get quite a few Roxy stuffs and they are damn cheap loh. I got a pink Roxy cap for 150 Baht (~ S$6.30) only! Law also bought all the things on his shopping list. Thus its a fruitfull trip for both of us. :D
While on the way back to the ship, i accidentally broke Fendi's Cola gift (its a cola bottle with a twisted bottel neck)!!! Sorry!!!

Law got me a very sweet gift. At first i tot that its just a display figurine. But when back in Singapore and after i took a closer look at it, only did i realise its a salt and pepper holder..lol

Hehe..made up of 10 pairs of socks (for 200 Baht), 4 shorts, 2 polo-tshirts, 2 t-shirts, 2 belts, 1 sun glass, 1 cap, 1 pair of shoes and some souvenirs for his colleagues. (He bought more things than me!!)
