Sichuan Earthquake

Now you are at the comfort of your house, watching TV, surfing net and reading blogs, but what are the ppl of Sichuan doing? Searching, rescuing, nursing, crying, mourning and feeling despair????As most are aware, a 7.9 magnitute earthquake strucked China, northwest of Sichuan provincial capital Chengdu and killed nearly 15,000 people. This is one of the worst hit to China in 32 years, reducing many buildings to rubbles. Tears and screaming of families were heard all over the places, calling out to their loves one. Many were buried alive and yet to be found.

But what have you done so far? I admit and i am ashame that i have done nothing so far. The news didnt hit me in a big way. When i first heard of it, its was like any other earthquakes that happens so often in the world. I didnt donate to those, so why shall i this time? But when i was at a temple this afternoon, i saw pics of the earthquake sites in Sichuan....its horrible and unbearable....i am gg to do something now and u can too.

Singapore Red Cross has make it extremely easy to donate. You can :

I know that money cannot bring back the dead, cannot make rescue work easier or faster. But at least it can help to buy more medicine and necessities and to care for the living..so please stop thinking for yourself for a while and donate something that would help, be it money or materials like tents, blankets, sleeping bags. Spend lesser on food/shopping for a week and donate these extra cash.

We must be thankful that we are in Singapore, a country free of natural disasters. Do whatever you can to help, even if its just a dollar...

Sian sian

Today is friday but i have absolutely no mood to work...long weekend wont be a long weekend for me as i am expected back in office as usual. Sometimes its really demoralising when you need to work during a PH. Its even worse than a normal working day. Tot of changing job, but not sure what and where i wanna move on to..scare the change in environment, scare that i would not be able to adapt to the new job scope/place/colleagues, scare of the uncertainity that the job would bring. But i need to move on no matter wat..the question is just WHEN...well i guess that would be at least until after Jul when i will be getting my bonus.

Nothing much happened in the past week other than Isetan's private sale. As i am stationed in Orchard (client's office), i managed to go for the sale. Am smarter this time. I went a day earlier to try the clothings and reserved them. On the actual day itself, i just take my things and proceed to pay. :D When i reached home, i realised that one of the dress is spoiled! And when i went back to change today, they told me the size has been sold out..so in the end i got a M size. Its relatively shorter than L size. Hee.. think i can only treat it as more sexy loh.. :P

KPMG annual off peak party

This yr, our off peak party (even though its still peak for me) is at St James Power House. Its actually my first time there. So sua gu right...haa...Anyway, find it much better than last year's. which is at MOS. There was no more food left when we reached (abt 8+), thus we were all drinking on empty stomach.
Me, Yenling and Wenyi

Wenyi is leaving the company. So its also sort of a farewell party for her. The last time, she drank quite a lot of tequila pops, shots, graveyard, flaming lamboginni but still managed to stay sober. So this time round, more ppl went to cheers with her, make her drink, but she is still unbeatable...lol

The gals
Can see we are already getting a bit red, a bit drunk (cos of empty stomach) and a bit tired

My unit. Not everyone went. But who says auditors are boring!! Duhz...lol...
