RESULT

TYPE A --- 90% FLIRT
You fall in love easily most of the time getting trapped in a triangular relationship. Adding to the fact that you do not commit to your partner, you enjoy having suitors. To put it simply, YOU ARE FAR FROM FAITHFUL.

TYPE B --- 70% FLIRT
You are partially flirtatious by nature. You enjoy being pampered and pursued by others so occasionally you would harbor the thoughts of 'stepping on 2 boats'. BUT...as you are sensitive to your partner, you do try to restrain yourself.

TYPE C --- 40% FLIRT
You are shy by nature and have only a small circle of friends. This attributes to the fact that you would not have a high chance of getting trapped in a triangular relationship.

TYPE D --- 0% FLIRT
You have high morality and it’s against infidelity. Whoever is with you is the most fortunate but pray that your partner does not belong to any of the above group!

So which type are you??

Mandala Night

It was another friday night well spent. Went for a charity performance (with Xuehui, Candice and her fren) called "Mandala, One night for the Children" @ Jubilee Hall @ Raffles Hotel. Its to raise fund to help Angkor Hospital for Children in Cambodia. It was a great performance, with the performers mainly dominated by kids and teenages. What i liked most of the show was the performance by Gabriel Lim (12 yrs old) who played the violin so well! Not to forget the ever funny Kumar and talented Eunice Olsen. The aim of the project is to help raise funds to rehabilitate and re-equip the Operating Theatre. For more information on how you can help, please go to Angkor Hospital.

After the performance, we met up with Yutang (Candice's fren) and went to Geylang for Tian Ji Zhou. It was delicious! After that we proceed to Barcelona @ Roberston Quay for coffee. Yes, you didn't miss read that, we went there indeed for coffee only... haha so unlike us right. Met up with more of Candice's fren, Booboo and his gf.

Cheers! With coffee....

It was a fun group, with lots of "Qian Bian Wen Ta Ti", chatting and laughter.

Blood means life. Give life today.

After some persuading from my sec school teacher, i started donating blood last year. First time experience was rather scary as i don't know what is the procedure and how i would feel after the donation. But the truth is, its quite different from what i had excepted. It rather painless except for the injection that was given to numb your arm.

Went for my 3rd donation today. Its best to go during the weekdays as the queue is so much shorter!!! We were given a de-stress ball to faciliate the blood flow. Everytime i go for my blood donation, i was given a different one. For my last trip, i was given a "purple heart". But for today, i was given a "red heart" with a smiley face.

After you are done with your donation, the nurse would bandage up your arm with pretty bandages!! Hehe...So far, i had a purple and orange bandage. And today's is a pink one (hehe so my aim is to collect a diff colour each time!).

Blood is vital to life and for many people, blood donors are their life-line. At least 200 blood donations are needed each day in Singapore to meet the needs of patients. Your blood donation could help save the life of an accident victim, a patient with kidney failure, liver disease or burns, a newborn baby, someone undergoing major surgery or a patient living with cancer or severe anaemia. Modern processing techniques mean that a single blood donation, when separated into its components, can help at least three different patients.

So what are you waiting for? Give life today. For more information please click here.

Typical Sunday

It sort of become a routine for me on Sunday to update my blogs. Been busy all week and doesnt have the time to enter in the entries and with Law working on weedends and no one to accompany me, Sunday has become the best choice to do all my back log errands and work. But at least i manage to learn how to back date my entries..haha so that i wont need to log on on the actual day to lock the date and all entries wont be dated on Sunday!

Tested out my new cam just now. The pic is a bit blur. I did test the cam when i was at the shop and it seems all right. So not sure if its the setting of the cam or its the problem of the cam that cause the blurrness. Law promise to help me take a look at it. Hope the problem will be solve..if not my money will be wasted!! Sob..sob..Think would also bring the cam back to the shop to check when i go dwn to collect the underwater housing. Lets keep my fingers crossed!

Money, money, money

Went to be my cousin's (Candice) friend, Annie's model in the morning. She is taking up makeup course and needed models to be makeup on and photographed in order to complete her portfolio. Hee, it was quite a fun experience. Reached there ard 11am and Candice was alr there and almost done with her makeup. She was doing the "Bridal's Day" makeup so she went to change into a white lace tube top which she brought. But alas!, she didnt tell me to bring any clothing to change and i didnt know what kinda makeup i am doing until i was there! Luckily Annie is doing "Fashion" makeup for me and luckily i was wearing a halter-neck top..so my clothing wasnt exactly sloopy..phew...As for the makeup, well i would say its not for the faint hearted..haha cos its not those normal makeup which u would see one put on..maybe except on those model who are doing catwalks. Its those heavy and "kuan zhang" type of makeup. After the makeup, we were brought to a studio to have our photos taken. There is a pro-photographer who would tell you how to pose, how to tilt your head, where to face and whether to smile, not to smile, or smile showing a little of ur teeth..hehe feeling was just like a pro-model!!! Eager to see the outcome of the shots!

After that meet up with Xuehui and went shopping at Bugis. Bought a black lace tube top for Law's colleague wedding next sat.

Bought a new digi cam, Nikon S3 at one of Nikon's branch at Bencoolen street. Also bought the underwater housing so that i would be able to bring to Tioman for our Advance course!! :P To tell you the truth, i am really impressed with Xuehui..she can really bargain!! With the cam and underwater casing, we manage to get a free SD card (512 memory), free Cam Dry Box, free Dust cleaner cloth for digi cam and a free Cam pouch. However, the shop didnt have stock for its underwater housing, so would need to go back next week to collect it. The whole package cost me a bomb!! There goes my bonus (even though i have yet to collect my bonus..lol). Need to survive on bread for the rest of the yr alr!!!!!!!!

Cam in the dry box.

After buying the cam, went to Icon building to look for Candice to show her the cam. Met up at her friend's Yutang's shop. His shop is called Slippery, selling handcrafted slippers. You can buy from ready made slippers or custom made a pair yourself. All you need to do is to submit a design of your own, or choose a design from their portfolio and the designer would draw the pics on the slipper and someone will hand-craft them out. A very innovative item i would say.

Today Law was suffering from diarrhoea and vomitting after eating fried hokkien mee at the market opp0site Harbour Front on Friday night...poor dear... Food poisoning?? So people, be careful of what you eat!

Busy work week

Its has been a busy week. Was helping out my senior to clear her back log all week. Tough and sh*t job, cos i am clearing all those things which she doesn't want to do and leave it til the end when someone like me who conveniently cross her path and was being "told" to clear them. Anyway, was helping her clear the final audit for this particular client. Imagine, the company's year end was in August....so now in June, the audit is 10 mths late?!?! Its almost the end of the next financial year alr. Sometimes i am really amaze at how she manage to drag it til this late. If the accounts was not out early next week, the company would be fined. When i say fined, its really huge fine! Its about S$100k. Thus everyone is panicking and rushing like hell to complete the things. But its not that easy to do it, as this company has a very high turnover rate and ppl who did the accounts for the last FY has left, so for this new batch of ppl, they are very blur and doesn't really know what is happening. Therefore i have a tough week working with them.. People always think that auditors are paid very high and it must be a good job..but most of them didn't know how we worked. For the amount of salary that we take, it comes with the same amount or rather even more amount of stress and pressure.

The promotion list is coming out in the first week of July. Everyone is very anxious and nervous about it. Cos there are a lot of ppl in my grade, thus we are speculating that not everyone would be promoted. Well, there are pros and cons on being promoted. If promoted, there would of cos be a pay rise, but that also means that i would be a senior. And this designation comes with a very big responsibility and the job scope would be quite diff from being a junior. So the amount of work load and pressure would increase. Haha, anyway, like what ppl always said,"No pain, no gain." So shall take it in my stride. Wish me luck!!

Fun filled friday group

Even though work is tough being an auditor, but i am glad to say that i am blessed with a group of good colleagues, especially my juniors, who are just a bunch of fun and playful ppl..haha....Our group chairman, Augustine would always take the initiative to organise outings for us. At first it would be the usual few of us who would turn up, but i realised that more and more of my other colleagues also started to join in the fun. As our outing is always on a fri, we called ourselves the FFF group, being the Fun Filled Friday Group, lol....

Just came back from Timbre. Went there for dinner, football and music. I must say, its really a great night, watching Argentina scoring 6 to nil!! The whole atmosphere at Timbre was awesome! Great ppl + great food + great show = to only one thing..haha, that's a GREAT NIGHT! Thanks guys!

Tioman here we come!

Finally, decided to book my Advancing diving course (with Law) with Bluereef Scuba today. Took our Open Waters with them too. The course cost $450 inclusive of course materials, trip to Tioman, rental of equipments and the new PADI Advance Diver License. The trip would be on the 21st Jul to 23rd Jul. In the advance course, the main thing that we would be learning would be deep sea diving, nagivating underwater and also night diving.

Am quite excited for this course and nervous too. At last we are going diving again! Yeah!!!!

Yes Hantu, No Hantu

Hmm...have been deprive of diving lately. Having withdrawal symptoms already. Just last week, Law and i were so enthu towards our Hantu dive which is suppose to be scheduled on the 25th Jun. As dear has yet to get his mask and snorkel, we went to George's dive shop to get them. But per George, it would be a bit dangerous to dive at Hantu for beginners like us, as the current would be strong and the visibility would be low. It would be very easy for us to loose each other. So after some considerations, we decide to cancel it til we are more experienced. So when would our next dive be?!?!??! Someone please organise (*hint hint).... :p

Sweet Monday

Normally today would be the worst day of the whole week as there is always Monday Bluez...but not for me, not today and definitely not this particular Monday. Why??? Hee...cos dear today so sweet, its his off day but he forgo his precious sleep (considering he is those kind of person who, once have fallen asleep, its VERY very very very vvveerrryyyy......hard to wake him up...) and came to fetch me to work and to accompany me for breakfast. :D Thanks!!!!

I believe i can fly

An old but nice song (enjoy!):

I used to think that I could not go wrong
And life was nothing but that an awful song
But now I know the meaning of true love
I'm leaning on the everlasting arms

If I can see it, then I can do it
If I just believe it, there's nothing to it

[Chorus]
I believe I can fly
I believe I can touch the sky
I think about it every night and day
Spread my wings and fly away
I believe I can soar
I see me running through that open door
I believe I can fly
I believe I can fly
I believe I can fly

See I was on the verge of breaking down
Sometimes inside us, it can seem so long
There are miracles in life I must achieve
But first I know it starts inside of me (Oh...)

[Bridge]
If I can see it, then I can be it
If I just believe it, there's nothing to it

[Chorus]

Could I believe in it?

[Bridge]
[Chorus]

Congras to Juliana and Michael

Congratulation to Juliana and Michael for tying the knots!!! It was really an eye opener yesterday when i went to attend their wedding dinner. As Juliana's mom is a Muslim, the couple have decided to hold 2 types of wedding celebration. The Chinese customary would be held next year.

Per my memory, a Malay wedding is always conducted in the afternoon til early evening. However, Juliana's one was in the evening. Its really amazing on how the things have changed from last time. When i was still staying at Jurong East, i did encounter a few Malay Weddings being conducted at the void deck of our block. It always consist of a small stage where the couple would be seated and endless long joining tables where the guests will have their meals.

However, its different for Jul's wedding. Her wedding was held at an open space between 2 blocks. Tentage were set up at the sides which houses the buffet dinner, deserts and drinks. The center part was laid with long tables that were decorated with white table clothes and center pieces (so modern). The most impressive of all was the area which was suppose to be the stage. Its not really a stage, but instead, its a covered area floored with many carpets and the couple were seated at the center end of the "room". Silky, lacy cloths were hung around the whole area. This has created a very modern and romantic effect. Its really very different from the tradition Malay wedding which i have seen (will upload the photos once i got them).

Another amazing thing is the wedding flavours. Its 100% hand made (including the bag)

Its actually a glass of Aga Aga with a hard boiled egg and a rose. Anyone know the meaning behind the egg and the aga aga?

The Jewel Box

Went to The Jewel Box @ Mount Faber on Friday night for chill out. Not a bad place to go for dinner, but i think if its just for chill out, it could be improved. The place consist of 2 parts, the outside and the inside. The outside has great views (over looking Harbour Front and Sentosa) and good music. But sad to say, Friday was a hot and humid night, so we decided to sit inside.

The Koi pond

Law order a bottle of Carlsberg,

Mine is Fruity Magarita - Mango

Of cos mine tasted better!!

The music on the inside is different from outside and the place is a bit too dark..like i said, can be improved.

PS (Law): Now you know i like to go by which way and be patient, i am sure you would be able to go in one day!! Haha...

Inconsiderate people!!

Sometimes i feel that we should ban children from a certain age and below even with accompanying adults from going to the movies. They are just nuisance and pest, causing disruption and enjoyment of other patrons!

Was watching The Omen with LAw at Westmall on Thursday night . We took the 9.00pm show so as not to squeeze with the rest of the crowd, expecting alot of kids as its the school holidays now. Well, we are right for one thing, the cinema is less than half packed. However, to our dismay, we were sitting right in front of a group of Taiwanese. The are 3 adults (among them are 2 aunties) and 3 kids. The kids were super noisy (who apparantly dun really understand english). They kept asking their mom what was going on. Thats not the end of it, then the 2 moms started chatting in the midist of the movie in taiwanese dialet!! And they were pretty loud...They didnt even bother to keep their voices down. Law was the one who got irriated first, but guess what, i was the one who cannot tanhan and turned around to tell them off. But either i was too soft or they were too engross in their "lovely" chat, they basically ignored me. In the end, Law had to turn and asked them to "SSSHHhhhh....." Then we finally got some peace...

For heaven sake..these ppl should really be ban from the movies...

Part II - Sentosa

Our first stop at sentosa is at the Visitor Arrival Center (VAC) where we parked the car, after which we walked towards Cinemania (for those who dunno what a cinemania is: Its a dynamic simulation theatre that is equipped with the latest projection systems and computer-synchronised motion seats that will transport you to adrenaline-pumping heights and depths, all from the safety of your seat). The original price of the ticket cost S$12.50 / Adult for 2 shows which over lasted for about 5~8 mins. Well i would consider that too expensive and would definitely not go for the ride if we have to pay. But as we have the ASA card, its free admission for both of us. The first show of the day was about us being in a "toy rollercoaster". Guess thats a warm up in preparation for the next show so that we would feel uncomfortable or giddy. The second is much better, showing us on a mission to rescue dinosaurs. In the short clip, we got dropped into the sea, flew into the air, hit by dinosaurs, erupted on a volcano etc.

Next, we went to the Underwater World. It has been like errr....10 years since my last visit!!. Hmm..but things havent change much. There is the "touch" corner where you can actually reached in to touch and hold the star fish or other fishes.

Me holding a star fish.

Next, we went on the 83-metre-long moving travelator which goes through tunnels showing the different types of fishes and marine lifes. The actual size of the fishes is actually 30% bigger than what we see from the travelator! Its due to the thickness of the glass tank, which reflect the light and made us see what we saw. There is this part where it houses all the sharks. There were lots of them! With scary teeth too...lol

At the end of the travelator (which is also the beginning as its a loop), we saw more marine lifes. There are seahorse, jellyfish and the eggs of baby shark!

Mind you, they are real life eggs and not dead ones. For the one categorizes as 7-8 weeks and after 9 weeks, you can actually see it moving inside the membrane!!

The Underwater World did offer diving package. It cost about $95 for a 90 mins dive. For more information, please see here.Seems not bad, might consider trying it out...

Next we went to the Carlsberg Tower. Its Singapore's tallest observatory tower which offers panoramic views at 131 metres above sea level across Singapore, Sentosa, Southern Islands, right up to neighboring Malaysia and the Indonesian islands. The Carlsberg Sky Tower has a capacity of 72 in its enclosed, air-conditioned cabin. Well, i would say the ride is quite a boring one and lasted for about 10 mins.

After that, we proceed to the last stop of the day, that is to the Cable Car Station. We took a loop ride, starting from sentosa, to harbour front, to Mount Faber, back to harbour front and to sentosa. The whole ride took about 15 mins. Nice scenery, but there are no lights in the cabin so its a bit dark. Cable Car Singapore did offer Sky Dinning ranging from $88 to $158. For more information, please see here. Saw quite a number of couples having the Sky Dinning. But find the atmosphere a bit too dark (cos there is no light in the cabin except for a red table lamp). Also find it a bit weird when the cabin door opens at the towers and i am sure everyone waiting in the queue (including us haha!!!) were looking at the couples.. lol...

Lastly, we went back to VAC to collect the car and headed straight to Sakura @ Science Center for dinner. Its was a day well spent and both of us were super tired at the end of it.

Had uploaded the rest of the photos here.

Part 1 - Jurong Birdpark

Today was one of my most eventful day of the year! Went to Jurong Birdpark followed by Sentosa. As dear manage to get his company's Association of Singapore's Attraction (ASA) card, we got free entry to all of the attractions.

In the morning, bought breakfast to Law's (dear = Lawrence = Law) place. From there we set off to Jurong Birdpark. There were quite a lot of tourists, especially Indians!! And it was very hot, luckily i brought my cap along. The last time i went to the birdpark was like 20 years ago...Went i was 6!?!? Didn't really remember much about birdpark then..however today's trip was a bit disappointing. There is nothing much to see erm...ya except for birds lah, and i never know that there are so many different types of parrots. They actually have 110 species!

Eclectus Parrot
Blue-n-yellow-macaw
We walked through the whole birdpark in an anti-clockwise manner starting from Penguin Parade. Some of the birds that we saw includes:

The more exciting part of the trip is when we are at the Flamgino Lake. The Flamginos are just gorgeous! The whole pinky flock of them (hehe..pink is my favourite colours). Took some pics here:
Another more exciting part of the "excursion" is when we visited the Waterfall Aviary. The Waterfall Aviary is the world’s largest walk-in aviary with the highest man-made waterfall standing at over 30 metres. It is home for some 1,500 free-flying birds from Africa and South America. Set in a valley, the Aviary is landscaped with 10,000 exotic plants comprising 125 species of trees, bamboo, palms and ground-cover vegetation to simulate a tropical rain forest. Inside this Aviary, birds are not caged up and are able yo fly around.

We were just in time for the feeding of the birds.
The birds are waiting for the feeding to start.
The creepy crawlers which are used to feed the birds.

There are a few ways which you can feed the birds. You either:
1) hold that small cup and stretch out, hoping the birdies would take them, but thats not very efficient as the cup is very small and the birdies would have no where to stand, or

2) pour the worms onto your palm and stretch out (Yeeks!!!!!!!). This has proven to be a better way as the birdies are able to stand at the corner of your hand and feed on the worms, or

3) throw a few worms into the air and the birdies would soar down and take the worms with 100% accuarcy! Or the best and MOST efficient way to feed the birds, that is to....

4) pour the worms on the floor and they would just peck on them...lol...

So imagine when different people were using different methods in feeding the birds, its a bit of a chaos..The birds were everywhere, on the ground, on the trees, flying here and there trying to catch the worms that were being thrown into the air. Haha but its quite a rare sight.

Next we went to the man-made waterfall. While waiting for Law to set up his tripod to take a good photo of the waterfall, i was bored (as he takes a long time, adjusting this, adjusting that.. :P) so i started teasing this parrot that was standing on the edge of the wooden bridge. Its grey in colour with a red tail. It didn't give me any respond except looking at me with those big eyes..haha it must be thinking what the hell i am trying to do. Anyway, after a few mins of no respond, i gave up and walked back to Law's side and waited for him to finish with his tripod. Just then this birdie flies down and landed right beside me and looked at me!!! It likes me!! Hahaha.....but sorry boy, i don't have any food for you. Feeding time is over.
The curious parrot.
Hey stop looking at me and look at the camera!

After that, we went down to the bottom of the waterfall for a closer shot.
Our Mr Photographer...

That is our last stop at the birdpark. As the day is still young, we decided to go to Senotsa as the ASA card did offer free admission for certain attractions there. As this is a rathher long post. for my blog on sentosa, please read my next post. :)

Love, what is love

When i key in LOVE in the search bar under yahoo, i received 737,000,000 results! Who would have thought that one simple word would have linked to so many sites! After looking through a few, i found some really cool sites. One of them wrote:

love n.:
01. A deep, tender, ineffable feeling of affection and solicitude toward a person, such as that arising from kinship, recognition of attractive qualities, or a sense of underlying oneness.

02. A feeling of intense desire and attraction toward a person with whom one is disposed to make a pair; the emotion of sex and romance.

03. a) Sexual passion. b) Sexual intercourse. c) A love affair.

04. An intense emotional attachment, as for a pet or treasured object.

05. A person who is the object of deep or intense affection or attraction; beloved. Often used as a term of endearment.

06. An expression of one's affection: Send him my love.

Just as there are many types of lovers, there are many kinds of love. Expressions of love may include the love for a 'soul' or mind, the love of laws and organizations, love for a body, love for nature, love of food, love of money, love for learning, love of power, love of fame, love for the respect of others, et cetera. Different people place varying degrees of import on the kinds of love they receive. Love is essentially an abstract concept, easier to experience than explain.
Love is a everyday thing and it has to be maintain and keep up. Without love, the world would be in chaos, without love, the world would be a grey place. So please tell the next person u see,"I LOVE YOU!"
Here is another interesting website, which give advices and ideas as to how to love and what to expect : http://www.lovingyou.com
And last but not least, i just wanna say,
I LOVE YOU MOM!
I LOVE YOU DAD!
I LOVE YOU GRANNY!

Lazy Saturday

Today is Saturday and i had no plans, no thoughts, no nothing to work through it...how can a sat be spent at home doing nothing?!?! Well i think thats how i am going to spend mine..hai..ah dear is working today so not meeting him.

Anyway, i had quite a week. As its the starting of my off peak season, i am spending more time in my own office rather than at clients' and i get to leave early (about 7pm~) from work and no more late nights! Yeah!!!! But then, there is a minus point to staying in the office. We get to be "arrow" to clear senior's sh*t and to do admin stuffs (more like being office gals) for the seniors and managers (like sending docs for printing, dispatching accounts, collecting mail packages). Well the thing is, if all these are being done on the same level as my office, it doesn't really matter. But the problem is, my office is at level 12 and the mail room and printing room is on level 10. And again if these 2 floors use the same lift lobby, it doesn't matter too. However due to the brilliant layout of the building, in order for me to get the the 10th floor's mail and printing room, i got to take a lift from12th floor to 7th, cross the carpark and take the lift from another lift lobby up to level 10. Mind you, waiting for the lift alone can last for about 5~10 mins each! Thus after running an errand, a well 20 mins of my time would be gone. And this is bein
g perform like 3~4 times daily....But never mind, promotion is coming in July!!! Hope i clear the level and be promoted to S4 (senior level 1)!!!! Then haha...i won't need to do such things anymore and it would be my GAs' (juniors) turn..muahhaaa!!!!

On thurs, one of my colleague came back to office to do her appraisal and to give out wedding invitation. She is really artistic man! She made her own invitation card!

Look at the small flower details that she made and paste it on the envelope! The card was being hand made too. Seems like quite a number of people getting married this month. I have another wedding invitation on the 25th June. Wedding always comes with mix feeling..on one hand, you are happy for the couple who are finally get to tie the knot, but on the other hand, as usual for a woman's trouble (or maybe its just me only), that is, what to wear!! I don't have much formal clothes (unless you count office wear) and the ones that are presentable enough to be wore to a wedding has already been wore! As this coming wedding is with the same group of people as the last, i can't wear back the same thing. So that means, i have only about 3 more weeks to get another set...

Ok, back to my colleague, when she came, she brought my Adidas watch. I asked her to help me
to buy during the private isetan sale (cos i was stuck as NYP auditing, i didn't manage to go down, duhz....). It's in pink and it only cost $29. Was a bit disappointed when i got it thou, cos its smaller than what i had expected. But nevertheless, its still a good buy for $29.

After work, went to Suntec with dear. He needs to pass the long awaited photo to poor Weng (hehe he is going kill me when he sees this). As its the first day of the PC fair and we are not expecting to see a lot of people there at 7pm+ on a thurs night, we decide to go. Boy are we wrong!! Its 人山人海 there!! Its total maddness!! You dun need to walk, you just "move" with the crowd! Anyway, wasn't expecting to get anything but dear wanted to get a web cam, so we went in as planned. There wasn't much choices with web cam and we nearly gave up looking for it, but luckily manage to spot one store hidding at the back selling the cams. There was a few models, but in the end, dear decided to get Genius Trek 310. I was also being "persuade" to get one too -_-" It has 320 pixels with auto infrared light, built-in microphone and clip on for laptop.

The cam is quite small and i can even paste stickers on the sides. Haven't really try it out yet, but the image seems to be quite ok.

The web cam came in this big bag! Its those canvas bag which u can re-use for multiple times and won't get torn.

Ok enough of blogging. Going downstairs for a swim. Hehe look at how welcoming the waters are!
