Superstar Aquarius - 19/09 to 21/09
The only "holiday" that i went during my leave period is a short trip on Superstar Aquarius (19/09 - 21/09). Its also a birthday present cum celebration for ah dear (his birthday on 19/09). Superstar Virgo has went to HK, this in its replacement is Aquarius. This Aquarius is not the original one which we took way back in 1997. The original one was sold and being replace by this current vessel. This new Aquarius is a bit disappointing..very small, with no cinemas and nothing much to do (as in activities). In comparison, Virgo seems heaven (even thou we always complained that Virgo is very boring too..lol)!
Anyway, we went down to Rasa Sentosa to sign our banquet contract, before meeting my parents at Harbour Front. We stayed at room 6162.

As usual, haha ah dear forgot to apply for exit permit, so desperately trying to call them, while waiting for dinner in the chinese restaurant.

I was sick for the entire cruise trip, so basically spent most of the time on Sat, sleeping in the cabin...duhz..anyway, Aquarius also didnt have much activities to participate in...

Aquarius prepared a birthday cake for ah dear! We can choose to either deliver it to the cabin, if not to the restaurant during our meal times. As originally, ah dear and me are not staying in the same cabin (as his name is under my dad's card), the bday cake card was sent to my parent's cabin instead. Thus ah dear got absolutely no idea he was given a cake! I did mentione to him causally before the trip that, SIA normally would give bday cake to the passenger if its their bday, so i wonder if Star cruise would provide such service too..Haha think he didnt take me seriously...so boy was he in for a suprise. Haha!!
We asked the cake to be presented to him during lunch on sat. Think the whole restaurant crew took part in this "presentation"!! Haa ..they sang loudly together with party poppers and honks, happy birthday song all the way from the kitchen right to where we sat!!! Even when the crews are moving halfway thru the restaurant, ah dear has no idea its for him..he just gong gong looking at them..heheh...see how red his face is?!?!

Dinner was at the top deck, with a BBQ theme. Its quite nice to be enjoying ur dinner, under the clear blue sky, with a live band singing in the background :)After dinner, we went to the lounge for Zhao Chuan (taiwanese singer)'s performance. His famous song include "wo shi yi zhi xiao xiao niao" and "Che mo de gao yang" (the 2nd theme song for Shuang Tian Zi Zhun).
Thats about the end of my short "holiday"..where i spent most of my time sleeping..duhz...but anyway, ah dear, hoped that you have errr...enjoyed the trip (u should have right, since u always complained that you didnt get enough sleep and u practically slept thru this holiday).
Happy mooncake festival
Happy Mooncake Festival!! This yr, we bought mooncakes from Prima Deli, shangrila, Baker's Inc and Da Zhong Guo. First time trying out mooncakes from Prima Deli. Tried the snowskin type. Not bad.

Mooncakes from Shangri la. Our condo has a Family Day cum Mooncake Festival party yesterday. They setted up tentage, games stores, provided free food, mooncakes and lanterns. We even lighted up the lanterns and went for a walk ard the compound at night.

The fish catching area. We were given 20s to catch as many fishes as u can with a mini net.

We then split the fishes into 2 glass containers so that they wont be over crowded.
Trishelle is very curious abt the fishes..
Each family is givena party pack, consisting of 1 lantern, mooncake and a pack of sweets.
Foods including laksa, satays and roti plata were also provided.
Then later in the evening, there are free flow of diff favours of mooncakes, peanuts and pomelo. See how much we took :P
While we were eating the satays, the fishes became over excited and started jumping out of the water!! One unlucky fellow landed into our satay sauce...dad then quicky brought it to fast. That fish then became very still when we put it back into the bowl...its still alive and "up right" thou.. but after awhile it died..hai...

But that the dead fishy, it was quite an happy event. This year round, Trishelle can enjoy the festival better, holding lanterns and "walking" ard, looking at lion dance and other performances. Think next yr we would be running after her alr..haa..

Dangerous highway
Dangerous NS highway - If you remembered, sometime in aug, i joined Law together with his colleagues and drove up to Melaka. Its a driving trip with their newly formed sentosa car club.
Just today, my dad showed me an article about a Ferrari, while in a convoy of 20 other Ferraris and Maseratis, was crashed, smashed and robbed. They are on their way to Genting Highlands. The robbery happened in broad day light! These ppl are getting more and more daring. Imagine, robbing cars in a convey and some more during the day. Think the government should do something on it. If not, no one would feel save driving along the highway.
Bored
Sometimes i really do envy my colleagues. They get to travel overseas for holidays, to places like Europe, US, Japan, Australia, Hong Kong, Cambodia, Vietnam ..they can spend anyhow they like, without restrictions, without worries, without commitments...but here i am stucked in Singapore, not gg anyway even when i am on leave...hai..i really miss my travelling days... :(
KPMG unit trip - Bintan 29/08-30/09
For our annual company's unit trip, we went to Bintan, Nirwana Resort for a 2D 1N retreat. Its quite a good resort. We planned our own games (for team bonding...our bosses insist that we have that..lol) and had a great gathering. Most importantly, the weather was great there! Super sunny and nearly got sun burnt. Will let the photos do the talking. :)
