Goldclass Vivo

Went to watch Julie & Julia at GV Vivo Goldclass yesterday. Hubby has the free vouchers since Apr and its gg to expiring in Nov. But as we were busy with work and wedding preparation earlier on, we didnt go for the movie till yesterday. The show is good and better still, the seats in the cinema are GREAT! Its big and comforty and they even provide a blanket each per chair. It feels like 1st class airplane seat only that its more comfortable. You can also lower the back and lift up the leg area so that you are like lying down (didnt try to go all the way, not i guess u really can lie straight if u wan to .. lol). There is a small table inbetween 2 seats where you can put ur food and drinks. There is a button which you can use to buzz the waitress during the show should you need anything else. Too bad we were almost late for the show, if not, would have gone earlier and enjoy the lounge before gg into the cinema. Original price of each ticket cost $28. Feel that it would be worth it if the movie is a long one.

Tickets which came in a small folder

The table - there is even a holder for champagne bottle and a buzz button

Shiok!

Honeymoon Day 13 - Last day

Honeymoon Day 13 - Last day

Today is our last day in Sydney. Went to Fish Market for brunch before heading to the airport at 230pm. Fish Market, as what its name says is where the local fisherman will sell their catch for the day. Its located beside a jetty and the seafood there are real cheap!
Arriving at Fish Market

They have got a lot of different types of prawns

And also fresh oysters that are being opened on the spot

Other than the raw seafood, there are also cooked ones, like fish and chips, fries, rice etc

My fav! Fresh steamed lobsters! Yummy!!

Chinese style cooked oysters

Abalone!

Dun they look cute! Aaawwww...

Our brunch. The oysters are damn cheap! A dozen for AUD13+ Just recently we were at Jack's Place and they are selling half dozen at S$15+. We bought 2 dozen of oysters, steamed lobsters, cheese baked lobster, abalone, fish and chips with calamari, seafood salad and of cos salmon sashimi! Yummy!!

We sat outside the Fish Market and there are lots of hopeful seagulls around, waiting to be fed. But we are warned that there is no feeding of seagulls in this area.

Last stop at Crispy Cremes before heading to the airport.

While waiting for boarding. Sad faces - end of honeymoon and back to reality...

But overall we had a FANTASTIC honeymoon! We had lots of adventures from diving to hot air ballooning to white water rafting, visting theme parks and hiking at blue moutains. We also shop till dropped and ate till bursting. So its a adventure packed trips with scenery sightseeing plus shopping and eating! Too bad we didnt have the time, if not we would very much wanna go to Melbourne, to Great Ocean Road. --> hint, hint...during our anniversay, =p ??

Honeymoon Day 12

Honeymoon Day 12

Today is shopping time! Also, tmr we are gg back alr.. sad .. Anyway, we met up with Ruowei today! She is my childhood fren who is staying in Sydney together with her bf (he was seconded to Sydney for work). She brought us ard shopping in Sydney and because today is a saturday, there are quite a few weekend markets. :)

Firstly we went to Market City where Paddy's market is. Its just within walking distant from our hotel (really loved the location of our hotel)
At Market City

Paddy's market is located at the ground floor of Market City. Its like Cha-too-cha (err..the bangkok market, not sure of the spelling), only its smaller and not that stuffy and with Sydney's recent weather, its quite a cooling experience to shop there :) We bought ALL our souvenirs from Paddy's
The inside of Paddy's Market (this is the best place to get souvenirs as they give the best prices!)

They even have a vege and fruit section. Look at the size of their vege, its huge!

After Paddy's, we went upstairs for more shopping and bought more macadiam nuts. As we are quite budget, we decided to forgo the Tim Sum lunch and had lunch at a local foodcourt instead. Actually, meals in Australia are quite expensive. A bowl of noodles or rice could easily cost up to AUD8 - AUD10+. So lets not complain about Singapore's foodcourt price of S$3-S$5 ya. We went back to the hotel to drop the shopping bags before heading down to Circular Quay for The Rock's market (another weekend market). The things found at The Rocks Market are more "artistic". More for home-used or display purpose, unlike those found at Paddy's which are mostly souvenirs.

At The Rock's weekend market

Soon, its time for dinner. We went to this restaurant call Lowenbrau which is famous for its German food. The pork kuckles are delicious! By far its the best among all the pork kuckles that i have eaten! Definitely a must go at Circular Quay. Due to the popularity of the restaurant, we only managed to secure a seat outside. But thats okie as the weather is nice, with the temp a bit chilly and a heater above our heads. We drank some beer to warm our stomach while waiting for Wang Jie (Ruowei's bf).

Our beer. Put that mineral water bottle there to justify the size of our beer!
With Ruowei. We ordered the manago beer..hmm..taste a bit odd.. but anyway, i am not a fan of beer.

Law with his. His beer tasted better =p

Our food is finally here. We are starving! The pork kuckles are nice and so are the sauages :D That miserable bowl of fries cost about AUD7+ i think.

They even had a live band! haha...

A thing to note, thru out our Australia trip, we saw a lot of Hen's nite during this time in Australia. And the brides are really being dressed up in props (funny and daring props i would say). While seating at Lowenbrau, we saw at least 3 Hen's nite brides. We also saw a real bride the other day we were at Circular Quay. The weather was VERY , with me and law zipping up our jackets all the way and still shivering underneath. And there she was, wearing her tube gown, walking effortless and doesnt seems to be a bit cold at all. The POWER of a BRIDE is GREAT! Salute!!

After dinner, we went to Ruowei's place for a visit after which we headed down to Darling Harbour for Pancakes On The Rock. Their pancakes are delicious too! Need to thanks Ruowei for bringing us to all these great places which serve great food! :D

Yummy! This is my 1st time trying a chocoalte pancake. The chocolate is very thick and delicious!

Banana walnut pancakes

Strawberry cheese crepes

Was very stuffed with food, with the pork kuckles, sauages and now pancakes, but Ruowei insteaded to go for a cup of coffee before heading back to our hotel. It was a great long day with really shopping and eating and shopping and eating. So its really mai dong si, chi dong shi, mai dong si, chi dong shi..lol...
Our loot for the day! Its packing time

Poor hubby. Totally knocked out by the end of the day.

Interview

This is the interview part (the same day after the proposal and the "cake cutting" ceremony) which is supposed to be screen at the reception before our banquet starts. But due to some technical error, the clip was not screened in the end :( so here it is:

Would like to once again thanks Blue Reef Scuba, especially Ashar, Stephen, Sing, little Jon and Erwin for helping Law planned this wonderful suprised! Not to forget Jon, Aree and Hanlong for being part of the gang :D THANKS GUYS!!

PS: Am still amazed that how you guys manage to transport the cake over in 1 complete pc during that horrible boat trip (where almost half the ppl onboard were sea sick)

Honeymoon Day 11

Honeymoon Day 11

Its gg to be a rush, busy and pack day. Woke up early for Mcdonald breakfast before rushing to Sydney Skytower. Sydney Skytower is one of the attraction in the Sydney 1 day pass which we can go for free. Its includes the 3D Oz trek ride.

Yummy hotcakes

At the Skytower

After that, we rushed down to Circular Quay for the jet boat ride. It was drizzling then, thus booked the 2pm ride and went to grab a bite first.

Their sushi roll was bigger than those of Singapore and is in fact quite tasty

Their sandwich is super big too!

When we were on the jet boat ride, it started to rain again! Together with the sea water and rain water, we were drenched even with the raincoat on (due to the strong wind)

Law was totally drenched

I am still good, only hair wet

He needed to get a new tshirt!

But at least i dry up quite fast :P by the time we are booked for the Opera house tour, i am 90% dry alr. Me with the tickets to the tour. The tour includes bring us ard Opera house, talking about this history of this building and also brought us into 2 of its concert halls.

It has got amazing building structure.

After that, we rush off to Harbour Bridge with we did our 3 and a half hr bridge climb. Its quite expensive, but its a once in a lifetime experience. Our booked timing was at 630pm and it was pouring outside. But luckily our guide prepared us fully, with our own clothes, with a layer of warm jacket and a thick raincoat. We were given gloves as well as winter hat to keep our head warm. In addition to that, each of us was given a headset so that we still can hear what the guide was saying amidst the strong wind and rain. We were also given a head light each to aid us climb the bride. (the photo is now with Law. Will scan it in when i get it back).

By the end of the day, we were dead tired from the day's activities. Dinner was just at Ajisen below our hotel. Any hot soup would sure taste nice...lol

Honeymoon Day 10

Honeymoon Day 10

Today was travelling day again. From Blue mt back to Sdyney.
At Katoomba train station

We were staying at Rydneys World Square in Sydney. We were consider unlucky as the period which we are in Sydney coincides with their World Master Games, thus the hotel charges were much more expensive than the normal days. However i was glad that we did not compromise and stay in any backpackers lodge or budget hotel during our honeymoon trip. At first we were considering to stay in those backpackers lodge, but some frens did ask me this " You sure you wanna stay in some dirty and crowded place with shared common toilets? You are on honeymoon, shouldnt you guys spend time alone?" After hearing that, we agreed with them and thus decided to pay more and stay in better quality accomodations for the peace, quiet and comfort.

Love the room at Rydneys. Its huge, clean and comforty. It comes with a King size bed =p [am missing the bed now :( ] Rydneys is located at Pitt street. Just in the middle between Darling harbour and Circular Quay (where Harbour Bridge and Opera House is). Its also a street away from Chinatown and very near to Paddy's market. So the location is great and is walkable to almost all the attractions.

As we have half a day left, we decided to explore Sydney first and plan what to do for tmr. We first walked to Darling Harbour where we bought they 1 day Sydney pass (for the next day) which allows us to quite a few attractions for free. Then we took the free shuttle to Circular Quay.

At Darling harbour

The wind was very strong (according to Ruowei, its blowing at 80km/hr on that day)

Just like the feeling of lazing ard, feeding seagulls ..lol...

At Circular Quay:

Harbour Bridge

And of cos Opera House

Sydney's Botantic Garden is just beside Opera House. Thus we went in for a stroll.

Saw this cute sign. So unlike Singapore. It says "Please walk on the grass!" Which we happily oblige :D

Law's first attempt and self-taking photo. Result: failed! Cos he completely left me out of the pic! Or is it his scheme to do! Hhhmmm...

After a few tries and with me behind him (not beside, cos he still cant seems to get me in the pic if i am beside him..hai..), he manage to take a better photo of us.

From young, when i was reading storybooks, i always came across this particular food called the "Caramel Apple" Its quite popular in carnivals like candy floss (do you know that candy floss is being called Fairy Stick in Australia?). Been searching for this food item in quite a few countries and i finally found it at Darling Harbour! Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!

So happy with my Caramel Apple!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And it taste really great too! With the chewing and sweet caramel coated on the cruching green apple (which is a bit sour, but its a great combination as red apple together with the caramel would make it too sweet). Miss it now... sob sob...

Lying on the grass, eating my caramel apple, enjoying the wind and blue sky. Thats life.

Another view of Opera House.

Dinner was at Chinatown, Superbowl, recommended by Ruowei. Its HK cafe. The food was quite ok, but the service was BAD! SUPER BAD! I waited for a whole half and hr before my wanton soup noodles came! Somemore, twice i have asked the manager to check if they have missed out my orders and they simply just replied that the wanton needs longer to cook, thus need to wait...WTH...half an hr to cook!?!? Then at least i told them i wanna cancel my order then they went to check and apologise saying the the "slip" was lost! @$#%$^&%$&^*&%^ Twice i asked them to check and they just tell me to wait. Then now they tell me they lost the order sheet!?!? Even thou they did apologise, they dun sound sorry at all..Huh! Hongkees..argh!!!

Law with his super big bowl of century egg porridge

This was the super long awaited wanton soup noodles.
