Bbplus

Have started using Babyplus since sunday. Twice daily for an hr each. I am suppose to follow schedule and use bbplus at ard the same timing everyday. Hopefully i will be able to keep to the timing.. anyway, i felt junior's movement for the 1st time on sunday! It was during the 1hr when i used bbplus! At first i couldn't be sure, but did felt a few bumps..then subsequently in the days that follow, i always feel junior's gently kicks when i use bbplus. And today, i kept feeling junior moving ard even when i did not use bbplus :) its a wonderful feeling and hard to describe :) the kicks are more obvious when i am lying flat on my back and recently i keep lying on my back cos in weeks to come, i wont be able to do it anymore and its only sleeping on the side for me le...

Durian ice cream

I was craving for chilled durian a few weeks earlier and my colleague was so nice when she bought me a tub. Supposely to be quite good and famous.

The smell is very strong when i open the cover and it definitely tasted VERY GOOD! Very rice durian taste and best of all, its CHILLED! Haaa..i dun crave for room temp durian, but i crave for chilled durian. So the fastest antidote....durian ice cream!!

In 5 mins, me and hubby finished the whole tub :P opps...

CNY day 2

Like ususal, on the 2nd day of CNY, my mom's side relative will meet up for tim sum lunch. This year, its at Tian Jin Lou. Find that their food so so only. After lunch, went over to Law's grandma house to bai nian and subsequently back to Bukit Panjang to bai nian too.

CNY day 1

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR everyone!!!!!! Just had 3 hrs of sleep and its wake up time... 1st stop of the day is at my parent's house to bai nian and also to eat my grandma's famouse fried carrot cake. This homemade carrot cake has been in the family for as long as i can remember. Its a MUST food during CNY period. Super yummy, tasty and delicious! After that headed down to AMK for my father's side family's bai nian and followed by bukit ho swee for my mom's side family's bai nian. As Law is working today (ya..on the 1st day of CNY), thus he only accompanied me to AMK. So lets let the photos do all the talking.

Sis took the chance the distribute Tristan's full month gifts. She didnt organise a full mth party for Tristan as its very near CNY and everyone would be busy shopping for CNY goodies and tidying up the house.

After that, its down to Candice's place at Bukit Ho Swee for lunch. Didnt took much pics here. And i am so sad for not able to eat sharks fin soup this year (also next year if i am still breastfeeding...) sob sob... Sharks Fin soup and cheng teng is a FOR SURE CNY food at Candice's place cos her mom is so good at making them that the pot would be empty in a very short time. This year round, me and sis cannot take sharks fin soup, so that benefited the rest of them...hai...

Finally its the eve of CNY. Been in a holiday mood since a LONG TIME ago. For the 1st time in my life, i am not going to have my reunion dinner with my own parents..instead, would be joining my new family for dinner...a bit she bu de..but no choice.

Was staying over night at my parent's place the night before, thus in the morning, went to Gaint with my dad to buy grocery and steamboat food for their reunion dinner tonight. Also went to buy the screen protector for my iphone. YES, i also bought an iphone. Couldnt help it and went over the dark side :P Well as an excuse, its one of the cheapest phone in the market now :P Anyway, after dinner at night, we went to the template beside law's place to"jie chai sheng" after which, went to meet up with a few of our XDs and JMs at Clinic at Clark Quay. Stayed until 4am before heading home. The purpose of staying up so late is to "shou sui". Was telling law, this would be the last yr le. Cos next yr, with junior ard, how to shou sui...haha so i am off the hook :P

16 weeks

9 Feb

Was quite anxious for the whole day as we would be visiting Dr Yam tonight and will the mystery by solve????? Sadly..no... saw something between the legs but Dr Yam was not sure if its the loop of the umbilical cord of is something else. Junior was super active tonight and was moving non stop. In the end Dr Yam didnt manage to get a good measure of length of junior, but instead, estimated his weight to be at 157g. Junior is currently at 16th week. The two guys was super animated when scanning junior and Dr Yam let us hear the heartbeat of junior. When previously it was qiute faint, it now sounds like horse galloping! Law managed to video down the process, but as its on iphone, so still trying to figure out how to transfer the clip onto the computer :P will upload once he successfully managed to transfer the clip.

It took us quite a while before junior settles down and open his/her legs...and...we saw something white in between! But as its not very clear, so Dr Yam couldnt be sure that if thats the loop of the umbilical cord or is it something else..hee so Dr Yam said that junior is 60% boy. So for now, its another month's wait for the next scan and hopefully by then, it would be much clearer.

It has been 5 mths since we are married..time flies and now junior is along the way :) we finally managed to have a thank you dinner with the xiong dis and jie meis at Joaquim at Suntec City. Althought not everyone turned up, but still its a fun gathering with lots and lots and lots of laughter! Looking fwd to our next gathering!

Bad mama

I think i am a bad mama. I havent been eating healthily, cos always eating outside and i kept forgetting to eat my fish oil supplement in the morning. Cos per hubby, i cannot take the supplement with milk and i always have a glass of milk in the morning. So i need to wait for an hr before taking the supplement and by that time, i totally forgot about it already..hai...think i need to set daily alarm to remind me at a specific timing to eat my supplement...duhz..anyway gg off to meet my jie meis and xiong dis for dinner! Tom Yam steamboat, yummy!! Will update again tmr after my gynae visit.

Btw, i got to eat my chilled durian yesterday morning! Ssssooo happy..hehe...

Bump Attention

I realised that when you are pregnant, ppl tends to want to touch your bump. I have been at client's place for the past 1 month, thus didnt get to see most of my colleagues. But when i went back to office this evening and saw one of my colleague, she came to me and ask in a low voice," Jacelyn...are you pregnant." Lol..she was staring at my bump then and when i said yes, she was suddenly very animated and shouted,"Congras!" She was so loud that a few other colleagues came to see what happen... -_-" so now a small group of them knows that i am pregnant. I am sure that by monday, the whole office would know about it.. but anyway, the few of them take turns to touch / sayang my bump..lol it just feels so weird when ppl other than your the other half touch your tummy. And thats not the end of bump touching session. After that i went to sentosa to look for Law. HIS colleague also upon seeing me came over to say hello and at the same time sayang my bump too...hmmmm...just wondering whats with this bump touching act? Weird...

AARRGGHH i need a break!!!!!!!!!!! I want to go on holiday! I dun wanna work anymore.......but i have no money..how??? So sad right.. life is like, to work, to earn money and then money spent without knowingly and without enjoyment...previously have book tixs to BBK in june..but now due to my current condition, wont be able to go and its cheaper instead to let the air tixs lapse..duhz..there goes our $174. So with no holiday in the near future but just work, work and more work..life seems so miserable.. who wans to go on a nearby over the weekend short trip? Jio me ok... need a break, need a break, need a break..................

Week 15

Times flies and currently i am in my 15th week le. Think i am bigger size than the normal mummies cos at 15th week, my bump is starting to show quite clearly. Just recently, i managed to buy a 2nd hand Babyplus set at only $100! Its VERY cheap considering the original set is at $288 and most mommies selling in the forum at ard $150-$200. I did try to bid a 2nd hand set via ebay previously but was out-bidden by $1 in the last 2 seconds!!!!! I was damn angry at that point of time..but like what hubby says, its all fated and now, hee, i managed a secure a even cheaper set. :P

Went to collect the set from the mommy last monday and was happy to see that the set is still in very good condition! Babyplus is a prenatal education system which is used to train the developing brain of the bb when he/she is in your womb. Can only start using from 18th week onwards. Lots of mommies commented that their bb is very alert and have good concentration after birth. Will let you know my results after Jul ok :D
