Manicure and Pedicure

It has been almost one year since my sis's wedding on 1st Oct. We have shared a package for manicure and pedicure then and its expiring this month. Thus we decided to head down to Far East today to finish up the package.

On the way there, i recieved a beautiful purple rose!! :D

My pedicure is just in time for my company's new dress code. Last time we can only wear covered toes shoes, however they have just revised the regulations to include dress sandals (with stripe @ the ankle) plus "pedicured toes"..lol...So next time i can wear open toes heels!! Yippe!!

After the session, we headed to Wisma, The Face Shop and i brought a small strawberry body cleanser so that i can bring it to the cruise trip.

My sis bought some cleanser and masks. She even bought one that was being splitted up into 4 separate cubes so that we can use it on the cruise (one for each of us). Her reason being: Cruise air-con very strong..so skin would be very dry, thus must apply mask..haha..

Happy Birthday Dear!!

Happy Birthday Dear!! Still remember how we celerated your bday last yr? :D Rest assured, this year would be even better than last! I had planned a day full of exciting activities, starting with a relax massage at I-Spa (complimentary from Fendi) in the morning. Lunch would be a rush one as we need to get to Underwaterworld at 2.15pm for an exciting dive with the sharks! This also includes entry to Dolphin Lagoon. Dinner would be at Intercontinental Hotel and lastly the day would be ended by a trip to the moon!! Haha..if i can do that..the best is only a trip to DHL balloon (complimentary of Dear's AXA card..lol).

I did the De-tox programme at I-Spa and Law did the massage. Don't quite like the de-tox as they just apply some "salt" on you and wrapped you up in plastic sheets (feels like a zi bao gei-cantonese) , followed by a heat blanket to make you sweat. Its very uncomfortable. After the session, the consultant sat us down and tried to persuade us to buy the package. As i alr have a package with Bodywellness, i didnt intend to get anymore. Sensing our reluctance, the consultant sort of started to "beg" us to buy from them. So unprofessional!! Law was actually feeling sorry for her, but before he can say anything, i dragged him out of the place...kekeke...

Was late for the dive. Only reached ard 2.30pm. There was another lady who joined us for the dive. We were led to the "behind the scene" part of underwaterworld to collect our gears and to get ready. The water was freezing!! And it was pretty hard to "walk" in the aquarium even with 4 pieces of weight (on a normal dive, i only need 3 pcs). But it was quite an experience. The fishes are damn tamed!! They just come crowding ard you (as they know its feeding time!) and you can touch them! The dive master brought cockles for us to feed the Eagle Rays. We even managed to touch and hold the Leopard shark!

Before we start the dive, we need to fill in some particulars, thus they know that its Law's bday today and they gave him a polo-tshirt as a present! Cool har...we also received a "graduating t-shirt" from underwaterworld and of cos also to log our dive there. After the dive, we headed for dolphin lagoon to watch the dolphin show.

Dropped by Sky Bar to look for Fendi (who is the manager there) and he treated us to some drinks. We each had a glass of Sky Cooler and Singapore Sling. Had a nice chit chat with Fendi and Franco.

By the time we wanan get going, we realised that its alr 8pm..and we wont have much time for dinner at Intercontinental Hotel, thus we dropped that idea and went straight for the DHL Balloon. The actual cost of the ride is abt $23 for 10 mins!! Goss..so expensive...luckily we get to have a go at it for free..lol..Dinner was at 天 天 火 锅 instead.

Went to Law's place today. Our main aim of the day was to go to Jurong Point's Giodarno to get the shorts (which i saw at wisma yesterday but didnt buy). But first, i dropped by Optical 88 at Jurong Central to change the nose piece of my frameless specs (its getting very yellowish and disgusting with those green alga). As in my new current condition, i reckon that i would be wearing glasses (including when going for work!! OMG!!!) for quite some time, thus need to get it changed...

Didnt managed to get the shorts as the Giodarno at JP is having sale and they didnt carry any new arrival....duhz...made me go all the way there.

Law came to my place to swim after dinner. It has been raining for the whole day but the water was suprisingly not as cold as we tot it would be!! Haha..but we didnt swim much..just soak in the water and chit chat.

Mooncakes!!

As Law seldom gets weekend off, thus when there is one..good plans must be made in order to fully utilised the time! He insisted on getting the mooncake from 大中国, which according to him is a 老字号. So we went all the way to chinatown to get it. In addition he also got some egg tarts and char siew su for my family. Its a different store from the one that my granny always buy from (and my granny said that this store's actually tasted better!) :) Hehe, its also a tradition for me to eat a Zhu Zhu for the mooncake festival. Last time they used to have only those shapeless type that came in a basket. But nowadays, its becoming more and more fanciful and cute!

Didnt manage to get the present, but ended up borrowing a book from the Taka Library. Am also looking for dresses..as i have to attend 2 actual wedding dinner in Oct ( total no. of wedding invitation received are 4!!), plus my company's D & D which is in Nov. So deserately needed some decent dress for the functions. Tried a couple from IS, but all are too expensive and nothing fanciful about them..so in the end didnt get it.

Dinner was at Cream Bistrol @ Pacific Plaza. Been there a couple of times and find that the food are not bad. Prices are quite affordable too.

As you guys know..i am on leave til end of the month...thats a looonnngggg way man...no doubt that i would be going on cruise on the last week and next week would be to celebrate Law's bday. But still, i would be FREE these few days...Just 2 days at home and i cant take it already. I have surfed the net, read ppl's blog, do online personality test, read story book, watch TV, eat, sleep...you name it and i have done it....but i am still bored...i know i shouldnt be complaining..anything would be better than to be at work right? But then....duhz........any suggestion on what i can do????

Today is a busy day. It marked the start of my leave till end of the month! :) Yipppeeee!!!!!! Early in the morning, went to Singapore National Eye Center to have my eyes checked. Have been experiencing blur vision in my eyes especially the left one..And bad news for me...the prof said that my contact lens had caused scarring on my cornea..and i should not wear contact lens for THE REST OF MY LIFE!!!!! Sob sob..for the rest of my life..can u imagine me wearing specs to work..for shopping ..for dinner...for CLUBBING!!!! No way man!!! Luckily i am on leave now..so i can rest my eyes first. Need to go back a month later. Will see how then..if my eyes are better then i can go back and wear my contacts...i can only promise to wear it lesser and more on my specs.. :P

Since i was already at SGH, i went to donate blood after that. I was early (cos need to have 3 months gap b4 u can donate again). But since was only early for abt 10 days, so went for the iron test. I was below the mark by 1 pt..but hehe the nurse say ssshhh....1 pt shouldnt be too bad, so in i went.. This time round, i got a pink bandage and the squeeze ball is a "rabbit head".

After that headed for home to rest before meeting Law at night for movie. Went to watch The Little Man. It was a damn funny show. Laughed through out the show too. Worth the $$.

Rest n Relax

Met up with Serene and Bingying (my poly frens) yesterday for an afternoon of chit chat and relax at TCC Cafe, Raffles. Been there once with Jovis. Its a nice place for rest and relax. The place has 2 storey. First storey with the normal tables and chairs and the second storey is made up of low tables, cushions and beanbags. They have a very cosy environment and you can really laze ard whole day, ordering finger food, coffee and chat your way through :P

I got to leave early as i have a BBQ session at my colleague's house. We met up at ard 4pm at YCK MRT and we were early..the host and the rest of them actually met up earlier to buy and prepare the BBQ food and were not back home yet. So ended up we have to wait at the club house for them. The BBQ was also a cosy event as there were only 11 of us. But its still an enjoyable night. We BBQ, eat, gossip, bitch, nag and complained about work..lol....

It seems that recently my this bunch of colleagues has taken into a trend of playing games...games as in board games..before the start of the BBQ, we played MAD. Think it was a very popular game in the past (but i have not played it before) and its was fun! Like the name of the game, its total madness!! After the BBQ which was like 11pm, they decided to head down to Settler's cafe for another round of game. As i was tired and there are ppl who doesnt like me to go home late, i decided to give it a miss and so one of my colleague's husband fetched me home.

Had a secondary school mini class gathering last sunday. It was organised by me and we went to Settler's Cafe at Holland Village. Hmm...didn't realise how times flies. We have known each other for 14 years!! Everyone has grew up and have our own career. Being in an Ah Beng school and some more in the last class of the express stream, some of our teachers didnt expect to see good future ahead of us. But today, i am proud to proof those teachers wrong!! Everyone of us has good jobs and great prospect ahead of us. Some of them even manage to own a car! Its good that we are still in contact even after all these years, FRIENDS FOREVER!!

We met up in the afternoon and as its a lazy afternoon (so hot!) they doesnt feel like using too much brain cells to play games. Thus we started with a game (forgot what its called) which is really an ultra simple game. As seen in the pic, the board is being balance on a pivot and there are blocks on top. The motive of the game is to remove the blocks one by one and try not to let the board topple. The person who caused the board to topple will loose pts and so the game goes on. We set the points to be -20. Thus who ever reached there first will be the ultimate looser..

After they have warmed up, we proceed to play games which required more brain cells (lol...) : Taboo followed by Trans America. Shen Wei and Ravi joined us ard 5+ and Shenwei introduced us a new game called 6 mimmt. This is a counting game (super fun!!) and its a bit hard to explain here. Haha..if u r interested, treat me to Settler's Cafe and i shall teach you how to play!!

As there are less of us this time round as compared to the time when i went with my colleagues, we took another package which includes seafood platter and tibits bowl but with limited drinks for $48 for the 1st 2 hrs and thereafter is $12/table/hr. So in the end, its actually cheaper than the previous time. Also there is teacher's promotion in Sept to celebrate teacher's day. All you need to do is to show your teacher's pass. Hint : So Justin, when are u going to treat me to an hr of game or 2??? lol...

Dinner was at Coffee Club. You know, sometimes guys are so stupid/blur/careless....After 4 hrs of games, Xuehui and i needed to go to the toilet...and you can guess what i wanna say next...yes, its a unisex toilet and the occupant forgot/didnt bother/careless or whatever didnt lock the door.......so one push and the door opens....ta da!! Luckily its a guy and was erm..in a standing position..so we didnt see anything (i swear!!) except for his back view. Both of us (and i think plus him too) was stunned!! And we quickly back off!! I think his table of frens saw what happened and started laughing!! So paiseh!!! Anyway, not our fault..he didnt lock the door wat..so....anyway, we had a good dinner at Coffee Club. I ordered a Slipper Lobster Spaghetti.

The band that night was ok only...i think i had inherited my dad's genes..cant drink..lol...i only ordered a glass of Singapore Sling and i can feel the effect shortly after i finished it. Its only a cocktail and shouldnt be strong at all...Law came to fetch me home and he said that i was a bit "hyper" when talking to him ...lol...
