So true

Read this from an email:

No one is perfect.
Everyone has a lack of something.
Some couples are very loving with handsome earnings, but with problems bearing children.
Some people have the looks and talent, but could have a rough time in relationships.
Some people have a lot of money but they dont have filial children.
Some people look to have a good life, but their brain could be empty all their life.

Eveyone's life has been designed with imperfections.
You may not want it, but it will follow you.

The flaw in life is like a spike on our back, reminding us to be humble and empathetic with 0thers.
If there are no hardship, we will be complacent.
If there are no suffering, we cannot be compassionate and console those who are less fortunate.

Life cannot and never will be too perfect.
Having a crack to let happiness flow to others is a beautiful thing.
You dont have to have everything.
If you have everything, whats left for the others?

Recoginse that life has flaws and that you shall not compare yourself with others.
Instead, cherish what you already have.
So dont go around envying others.
Counting the blessing that heaven has bestowed upon you.
You will find there are more things that you have than things that you dont have.

And what you dont have although not lovable is very much part of your life.
Accept and appreciate it and your life will be much happier.

My juniors

As this is my first yr being a senior, so its my first time coaching someone new. Its really an eye opener when you can see how dumb someone can be..opps...sorry for being so cruel..but its truth. I dun think we gave our seniors such hard times when we were 1st year auditors. Maybe its different culture and they are not used to our working style? My new batch of juniors came from all over asia. We have ppl from Malaysia, Indonesia, China and Shanghai with most of them being Australia Grads. They cant even follow simple instructions and would do exactly the things that u tell them NOT to do. That is something which i just dun get it. Whats so hard in not doing what you are told not to do? Come on..they are university graduates...if they cant follow instructions, then i dunno who can...

I have this particular junior (an Indian who graduated from Australia), lets call him P working under me for the past one week (which he would be continuing working under me for the next 2 weeks...god help me). He has the mentality that becos he work late the previous night, he can come late for work today. I tried telling him thats not how we work in Singapore, but then, liked i said, he just cant follow instructions. Law keep saying this to me, "You got to delegate more work to them, so you wont be crush by your work load and at the same time they can learn to do the work also." But then...the problem is..it would be more time consuming if i delegate the work and he made a mess out of it and at the end of the day, i got to spend more time re-doing what he has already done...and time is something which we cant afford right now...sigh..how i miss the time when i was still a carefree junior...

Tomorrow i would be starting yet another job with another new junior (this time from China). Lets pray that this one would be better.

P.P. (Peak Period)

My peak period has only started for a week, but its seems like eternity. The mad rush, the OTs, , the reporting deadlines and the pressure seem almost unbearable. What make things worst is when u know that your competitor's firm is going to give a $200~$300 pay raise to their staffs (by the end of the year) whose job scopes and work loads are much lesser than yours. What for stay in a company whose pay is lesser and work is more? Seriously speaking...what keeps me with my current employer is my colleagues..if not i would have left the company long time ago.

In such times, i miss my dear even more. Cos peak means lesser time to meet up. Weekends are burnt doing unfinished work and weekday nights also very hard to meet up for dinner since everything are on deadlines. Luckily he is on reservist now..so more time to sms me or to make small chats during the day (ya, he is more busy when he is at work...duhz..)

6 months more before my next off-peak arrives....

Motor show (12th Nov)

Went for the Suntec Motor show last Sunday. It was my very first motor show! At first i thought that there would be alot of nice sports cars with sexy/beautiful race queens..but it turned out to be quite disappointing. Only saw a few nice cars.

Liked this antique car..so unique. Have taken a pic with me in it, but thats with Law's cam...still waiting for him to upload the pics...

Other nice cars:

The highlight for the show was the motor show's performance by Russ Swift, the world best Stunt Driver. He showed us some stunts and ppl can even bid (with the proceeds going to charity) to sit in his car when he perform the stunts!

While waiting for the show to start

We also went to have a go at the "Drift-drive" but of cos its not driven by Russ Swiss..but by some Subaru driver. Well i would said that its quite an experience :P

Lucky i would say, we just happen to pass by the Nissian Exhibit area when they are giving out miniature of nissian model car. In about 10 mins, all were given out!

Dress for D&D

Finally, managed to get my dress for our company's Dinner and Dance which is on the 25th Nov.

Its a simple tub dress which flare down from after the breast level. The top part is layered (cant see properly from this pic as i took it using my HP cam). Good thing about this dress is that it can hide your big hips and budging tummy after dinner...lol.. was comtemplating between this dress and 1 which i saw from Dianel Yam (which is more unique but i feel that its very "long Zhong" and is more suitable for special occassion, not much chance of wearing it after the D&D). But after serious consideration and budget wise, i decided to get this, as the Dianel Yam dress cost $60 more! So the next thing that i need is to get accessories. Anyone has sutiable accessories to lend?? :P

but still I am one.
I cannot do everything,

I will not refuse to do something I can do.

Been a long while since i last when into Sentosa for leisure purposes. Thus decided to go in with Xuehui yesterday even though its quite hazy. Law managed to get us 2 Temp Staff passes, so Xuehui can get in for free. After which we used the pass to get onto Caslberg Tower. Its Xuehui's first time and we were so engross trying to take a decent photo with our hps that we didn't really have the time to look at the view..lol

Even though its hazy without much sunlight, the weather is suprisingly quite hot. We settled ourselves at Siloso beach and went for a dip. The water was very cooling. Stayed in the water and chatted until i saw a jelly fish!! Quickly got out of water and stayed on shore til Law became impatient and called me to ask when we gg for dinner. Didnt realised its alr 6.30pm. You know, when gals get together and chat, time really flew by..

Law joined us for dinner at Kofu after which he went home and Xuehui and i went to KM8 for a drink. This is my second time there. Quite a new place where u can lie down on the beach chair (no doubt a bit hard) to chat and to enjoy a nice glass of drink.

Xuehui ordered a Tequila Sunrise and i ordered a Canberry cooler. We chose the chairs that are facing the sea and its quite windy last night, thus had a good time chatting (again), munching on chips, drinking and enjoying the sea breeze.

A nice day spent, relaxing, chatting and complaining :P

Treasure the ppl ard you

Was feeling very bored just now and was surfing the net, when i came across the blog of a fren's fren. Starting reading thru the entries and didnt expect to uncover such a sad story. Sometimes life can be so unfair... some ppl can have so many things; money, good health, good looks and some ppl can be so poor, so lonely, so weak...

Do u think that its all fated when we come to this world? Who you meet, how your life turns out..even sometimes when u r doing something (be it some actions or some sentences that u r saying), it seems so familiar, as if u have done that before? Its like we are just acting what was written in the script and the ending has already been decided long time ago and we cant change it.

I am glad i belong to the "better-class" ppl, with all my loved ones ard me, good health and well paid job. So i must learn to treasure the things that i have and the ppl ard me.

To my fren's fren, i am sorry of what you are going thru and about your bro. You got to take care of yourself, be it for urself or for ur mom. You are so brave, so live on and live strong.
