Dad's birthday

Super busy day today. Firstly, we celebrated Dad's birthday (actual day is on 1 June). Went to Triple 3 for buffet lunch. The food there is ok, but the service sucks. Really cmi for such a well-known resturant.

After lunch, rush back to pick fil to go to IMM to meet Rebacca (our contractor). Chose and bought the toilet equipments/accessories for our new house. Another $1.6k gone..ouch.. After that, sent fil home and went down to Expo for electrical fair. Bought our fridge (generously sponsored by parents :D Thanks!) and went to the food expo to settle dinner. By the end of the day, i could hardly walk and as usual, my poor feet were swollen. But we did manage to strike off quite a few To-Buy-Items from our checklist, hee so all the running ard is worth it. Now, the next big items left to buy for our new house would be all the lightings, sofa and TV console. Gambeta!!

Miss Singapore 2010

Just gotten the news that my cousin has gotten into the finals for Miss Singapore 2010. Way to go Fran, so proud of you! Jia you. :D

Emo, emo, emo...

Been rather emo lately...pregnancy hormones? Maybe...seeing my frens popping one by one, i dunno if i am looking forward to THE day or not. Of cos i would very much love to meet my son, to hold him, feed him and take lots and lots of photos of him...hahah..but i am also anxious about whats in stored for us...the commitments, the sleepless nights, the endless worries. Both hubby's and my life has been moving VERY quickly. From proposing, to marriage, to pregnancy. All these happens in a short 2 years (proposed in July 2008 till giving birth in July 2010). Seems like July is THE month for us. Its our anniversary month, our proposal month and now its gg to be our boy's birthday month. Was watching our proposal video and AD music video on FB just now. All the happenings, all the events are still very fresh in my mind. It seems like its just yesterday when all these happened. Tears just flow and how i wished i can go through it all over again!

End of week 30th

Realised that i didnt take much photos of my bump ever since i was preggy! So now here is one at the end of week 30th.

Is it small for a 7.5 mths pregger? Another 2.5 mths more to go!

So far have gained 11.5kg already...hoping to stay within max of 16kg for the whole pregnancy for the healthy weight gain. Gambateh!

3rd antenatal class

Attended my 3rd antenatal class alone last friday. Hubby's staff last min no show, so he got to stay back to help out :( sian... anyway, class for that day teaches us how to hold and bathe bb. Hubby got to self-learn the skill himself on his own (BIG HINT!) since he didnt manage to attend that class. Anyway, was half way through the class when i saw what the mummy seating infront of me did to her "bb"

Hmm..wonder how much mother instinct is there.. :P

My accompanying "bb" for the nite.

Dong Tu le!

Finally, after rounds of meeting up and discussion with our contractor, the renovation for our new house has started today. From now on, i am not allowed to enter the house until the reno is completed and things shifted in..hehe, i dun even need to do the shifting of the house :P

There are tons of decision to make, from types of tiles to colour of tiles to type of table top and cabinets finishing. Then still need to go shop for big, small, extremely small furnitures and household items. On nights which i do not need to work OT, it would be spend shopping for furniture, looking for the best deals. Now my legs muscles felt like i have just ran 2.4km..aching away..and with my swollen water retention feet, its really hard to walk around. Next would be to decide on colour of paints, desgin of our feature wall in the living room ..err..that is if we are still going ahead to do it..hopefully the reno would be done before i pop..or else.....

Decisions, decisions and more decisions

Week 30

Another 10 more weeks ...scary...

Week 29

Just entered into my week 29th. From the "whattoexpect" website, its says that "As she grows and room in your womb gets tighter, you'll be less likely to feel those big kicks and more likely to get poked by an elbow or jabbed by a knee". That put my mind at ease, cos for the past 1 week or so, i no longer feels junior's karate kicks which were so obvious and frequent just a few weeks earlier! I was wondering what happened and why the gradual less movement as times goes. Nowadays, i can feel him stretch or waves of moments going from left to right.

Also from week 29 onwards, i am suppose to count the no of movements that junior makes. Once in the morning and once at night. Junior should make at least 10 movements in 2 hrs, if not i should be calling my gynae about it..hmm..but so far from my last visit to Dr Yam, he did not ask me to count the no of movements that junior makes. And i think 10 movements in an hr should be pretty hard..dun think he moves that much leh.....haa but sometimes when i am worried, i would tap or shake my tummy a bit and sees if he response. Most of the times he does, but sometimes i guess he is just sleeping (must be a deep sleeper like his daddy .. lol), thus no response..

2nd antenatal class

Went for our 2nd antenatal class at Mt A last night and the topic is about breastfeeding. I use to think that breastfeed is very easy. Just latch and feed away. But boy was i wrong. There are a few methods/position of latching and with incorrect latching, it would lead to painful nipples, no milk supple, engorgement and others. So its NO JOKE and as a mum, I really need to master the art of latching..but if all fails, there is still breast pump :P But of cos it would be best if we manage to latch our bb, cos it promotes bonding and also lesser of a hassel when feeding. No need to sterlise bottles and even gg out would be easier without the need to bring bottles, cooler bag or rush home to express milk. Our lecturer did tell us not to get too stress up on breastfeeding and stress level also can cause low milk supply

Given a doll to practice the position of breastfeeding and how to hold the "bb"..lol..

Antenatal class

Attended our 1st antenatal class at Mt A last night. The hospital cork up a bit as the original April start friday class has been cancelled. Per them, they said is due to insufficient participants. So its either we go for thursday class or weekend class, but we cant on neither days as hubby has got RT on thursday and he needs to work on weekends. So now, our arrangment is to join other classes.. the coordinator arrange the following classes for us:

4th class : 30 April
5th class: 7th May
6th class: 14th May

1st class: 11 Jun
2nd class: 18th Jun
3rd class: 25 Jun

So yes, we are attending class 4, 5 n 6 first before gg for class 1,2 and 3..duhz..but she assured us that the "break" is ok...anyway the class which we attended last night was about labour, gg thru the various stages of labour and we even went on a hospital tour to look at the various wards and delivery suite..attending the class makes labour much more real for us now..seeing the equipments in the delivery suite, the "infant room" etc..my god..tmr i will enter my 3rd trim..and there are still so many things which i have yet to buy!! okok...dun panic now..breathe in....breathe out.... i NEED my CHECKLIST!!!
