36th week!

Finally i am at my 36th week!! Time really flies. Just seems like yesterday that i found out i was preggy and now i am at the last of my last stretch of pregnancy. Counting down to the last month, it seems surreal. In another max 4 weeks time, we would be meeting our dear boy, Skyler. Another one more week, ie 37th week to reach the so call full term, ie save to be born. Anytime before 37th week is considered as prematured. Have just packed my hospital bag, so anytime, we can just grab and go..haha always see this kind of scenario on TV..waterbag breaking, contraction starting and ppl was thrown into a frenzy and just grab the bag and go. But in reality, most time, we would have time to take a bath, have breakfast, before making our way to the hospital.

Apparently this weekend is a very good weekend to give birth. At least 7 or so July mummies (be it waterbag burst, scheduled csect or induced) has given birth. Annoucement, pics are flooding facebook and birth stories in the forum. Seeing and reading all these pics and posts are making me all nervous but also at the same time looking fwd to my own experience with labour.. ya, you didnt read wrongly..i really did say looking fwd to my labour..hee.. from the birth stories posted, even thought it seems a long process but i believe its what every woman would and should go through :) it would be a very valuable experience and process. So wait for my good news, my announcement and own narration on my own version of birth story.

25th....

Its exactly 1 month from now..counting from date that is..25th Jul.

To laugh or to cry

It was raining cats and dogs this morning. I decided to sleep in and call into office to report MC later. At some pt near dawn, hubby suddenly roll over to pull my tshirt down, over my exposed tummy (nowadays, my tummy is so big, my tshirt always ride up when i flip ard during my sleep). In my sleep i was still thinking, wah...so sweet of him..scare i catch a cold..then, he seems to read my thoughts and told me that, " I scare wait Skyler feels cold." I was like ...........................................................duhz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

35th week and counting

Time flies...now i am in my 35th weeks plus. Have been rushing to finish my work, get all necessary bb stuffs, buying furnitures for our new place, taking maternity shoots etc..its busy busy and busy. And becos of all these running ard, my feet have been swelling like nobody's business. But there are other ppl who told me that swelling means you are to due soon...dunno is it real..scary. There are still so much things i need to do but cannot do. Constraint by all the traditional chinese rules where preggier cant do this, cant do that. If not i would have done it LONG ago and not wait for hubby to do it for me. But poor hubby, he only has 6 off days per mth and since its World Cup ("WC") session now and sentosa being itchy backside are doing promotions for WC, thus they are even more busy than usual, so cant really take leave to settle all these thingy. So even though when i am free at home during the weekends, i cant pop over to our new place to get things done. In fact, i wasnt allowed there since the renovation started! But the good thing is that, reno is now complete!!!!!!!!!!!!! And we have decided that i would be doing my confinement at the comfort of our new place! Yippee!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only compromise which i made was that, we would only shift over after i have delivered bb Skyler. Ie to move in on the day i discharge from hospital. Why? Cos i am not allowed to move our bed before i give birth..so its either this, or to spend another few thousands and get a new bed..well..based on our finances now..i think this is the best choice..but who cares..as long as i get to do my confinement at my own place, i am happy enough. :D

So now, as i am not allowed at our new place, all my bb stuffs are still at my in-laws. I need to wait for hubby to move the things over bit by bit and to set up the cot, the steriliser etc all by himself and judging from his 1 off day per week ratio, i dunno how he is gg to do it in time. All this waiting has been making me very anxious and stress.. Gynae reminded me to be calm and not be stress as this could trigger early birth..so i am constantly reminding myself not to be stress (hey even this process of reminding myself to be calm can be quite stressful too! Its like when you feel like crying but is told not to cry), my feet swell doesnt mean i am gg to give birth soon..all things will fall into place nicely (when though i dunno how its gg to be done). I shall just concentrate on being calm, sit at home, shake my legs and wait for the arrival of bb Skyler, which should be another 2-4 weeks time...

On a happier note, 2 maternity PS down and 1 more to go on next monday. The last round was done by hubby and his cousin; Si Hui, her bf and one of Si Hui's photography fren. We did it at Krangji reservoir cos its THE place for us. We did our pre-wedding shoot there 1 year ago and 5 years back, this is where hubby asked me to be his gf :) Some preview shots:
Like this pic the most! Cos cant see my fat face !! Lol..

Finally my pump is here!

Busy busy weekend

Been yet another busy weekend for me. Nowadays, weekends are rarely rest days as all errands have to be pushed to then to be run (cos by the end of every weekdays, I would be dead tired to do other things). Anyway, this weekend, we went to another parent-natal workshop. We signed up for this workshop back in the March Baby Expo fair. Paid about $30+ and was told that the workshop is about tips on how to educate and take care of your kid..but alas..felt a bit cheated when we went for the course yesterday cos half the time, they were talking about insurance for your kid..duhz... parental tips was like 10% of the whole 2.5hrs of "workshop"

Oh well, at least some hands-on for the daddies..lol...

After the workshop, we went to the PC show. Yes, me being at the end of my 33weeks of pregnancy, bravely fought the crowd in the PC show! I am so proud of myself! lol..in the end, we bought what we wanted, a Canon inkjet for our new house. Bought 1 with the basic functions of print, photocopy, scan and prinitng of photos and cost us only $129.

Then today, i went for my maternity group PS at Botanical Gardens ("BG") with 7 other mummies! It was fun, but hot as well! But luckily the weather was kind to us..rather hot and sunny than to be raining. There are a lot of ppl at BG..and we are like zoo exhibits..lol..ppl are staring at us where ever we went. Can understand...cos when do you get to see the scene of 8 preggies walking ard, bared bellies..lol..but there are a couple of "ah nei" who were really irritating! They kept walking pass us and gawking at us when we were trying to take the shoot. They only backed off when 1 of the hubby went to tell them off...sicken ppl. After that, went for lunch with the mummies and headed back home. Was so tired that i napped from 2pm all the way to 6pm..my god..hoped i still manage to sleep tonight.. Allison (our PG) said we need to wait for about 4 weeks for the photo..so here is a sneak preview taken by one of the mummy using my iphone :)

Swollen feet

One of my worse day

32 weeks check

Went for gynae check today. Junior is at 32 weeks 5days, weighing at 1.917kg. Dr Yam say this is a good weight and estimated weight at full term would be at 3.2kg. Junior has already turned head down, but not engaged yet. Hopefully he wont decided to turn back up in the next few weeks! Next apptm would be in 2 weeks time. Btw, we have decided to name our boy Skyler. So, it would be Skyler Wee! :D

After that, we headed down to Motherhood fair at Singapore Expo and metup with Huiping. This fair is bigger than the last one in March. Maybe becos we went on a fri, there isnt alot of ppl and walking ard and looking at things were much easier. Finally stock up on diapers. We bought 3 packs of S size Pampers. Didnt buy any NB size cos the S size is good for 3kg - 8kg babies. 3 packs cost $45, which was about 18% cheaper than retail prices. Huiping bought a pack of Goon diapers for us too (as a gift!). Thanks gal! Also bought Winnie the Pooh wall stickers for Skyler's room. Cant wait to paste it up :P Also bought some other misc bb stuffs at the fair. After much consideration, we decided to give the bb cot a miss and use the one that Law's colleague gave us.
After that, sent Huiping home and headed down to Baby Kingdom to look for mattress for the bb cot. Didnt find a suitable one and thus left with just a bottle of Komodo detergent and softener. Next, we headed down to another area in Kaki Bukit to choose the lightings for our house. We need to choose 9 lights in total and suprisingly, it only took us about an hr+ to choose. Haa we tot we would take longer than tat! So another item off the list. Next, we went to Kiddy Palace at Marina to look for our cot mattress. Sad to say, the cot that Law's colleague gave were too "unique" and we couldnt find an exact fit..so in the end, we got one that is slightly smaller :( The length is ok, but its the width that is too short. For the time being when Skyler still doesnt know how to flip, i think its ok. Maybe will upgrade up to a toddler's bed after he knows how to flip bah.

Our last stop for the day was to East Coast where hubby met up with his car forum ppl to get some car stuffs which he bought online and guess who we saw?! We saw Chao Seng, my sec school classmate! He is a car frantic and would really spent a LOT (when i say alot, it means really alot!) on his car. Recently, he just change his car to Kia Coupe. Its lime green in colour and its goreous! Haa hubby was "drooling" away when he saw his car..lol..Jus his ICE (in car entertainment) cost almost as much as our house reno cost..faint.

By the time we reached home, i was dead tired, but we decided to pack and group the bb stuffs that we have bought so far into more organise group. Previously, they are still in their packs and plastic bags.

This is before we pack..but after we pack, it also looks something like that ..haha cos still in plastic bags..
