Lilypie - Personal pictureLilypie Third Birthday tickers
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Didnt do much today as hubby needs to work (as usual), thus i stayed at my house. He came to pick me up at night and gave me my christmas present! Even though we said that we gg to restrict our budget for this year, but hubby went very much over than the inital amt that we had agree on :P

Hee, a BIG present! You know, they always said that a woman's 6th sense is very accurate and my 1st feeling of the present is that its a back massager...and....

After removing the wrapper, it still doesnt tell you much of the thing within which the box contains..but a very meaning present, cos on the box, its stated "I give you the license to throw tantrum" Hubby said this is just the right present for me now..haha so next time i wanna throw a tantrum and he argues about it, i can show him the present..well, he gave me license to do so mah...haha THANKS hubby! So what is it......
And its really a back massage cushion! :P 100 pts for my 6th sense.

LOVE the present dear. Thanks alot!! I am gg to use it VERY OFTEN, be it for massage or for tantrum throwing since now that i am given the license to do so, i better make full use of it! :P

X-mas gathering

Went to uncle Kevin's place for christmas dinner gathering tonight. Hee, he even made the effort to deco the area. I have always liked christmas since young. Maybe cos its a festive period whereby I( used to) will receive lots of presents and we will gather together to great food! But as we grow older, haha presents are becoming lesser and lesser...hmm.... :P
Its at a sheltered area beside the pool.

With Trishelle

Some of the food. Yet to arrive are: char siew, roast duck and roast pork, log cake, spaghetti, nacho with salsa dressing

Then the log cake arrives..and Trishelle is eyeing the fingerines...

Ever so cheeky
After dinner ended, being active christian (my dad's side relative) started requesting us to do caroling. And aunty Yin Leng even printed our the carols for us (non church goers) to sing along!

The main carol-ers

Trishelle trying to join us in caroling too

And a last pic with po-po.

Its a fun night, with great food, great company and great caroling!!

My birthday

People kept asking me: So hows celebration on your birthday for the 1st time as Mrs Wee? And my ans is.....still the same loh..especially this yr we are on budget cos of our upcoming house.. :P

So whats cheap and creative..haahaa, a DIY birthday cake, followed by dinner at Chong Ching Ma La Hotpot! Have been craving for it for the longest time and finally get to eat it on my birthday. Didnt managed to get table at the one at Tanglin, thus we went to the one at Suntec instead.

Nice christmas decorative cake!
So wat hubby did was to buy the plain sponge cake

And he was given some icing and decorative stars/flowers

And here he goes...

Done with the border

Concentrating on the inside

Trying to keep hand steady...

And after half an hr, its done!

Before dinner, we went to watch Feng Yun. The show is a total let down..poor graphics and poor storyline..not worth watching..anyway that didnt spoil my birthday celebration. Would like to thanks you guys for the over flowing birthday wishes thru sms, phone calls and FB as well! Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our steamboat food

And the NICE Ma La soup! Yummy!!

Happy Birthday to me!

KPMG D&D

5 Dec
Finally after skipping 1 yr, KPMG's annual Dinner and Dance is back and this yr, its held at suntec city. Theme wise, its talent time! Feel that the mood this year is much better than the previous. Lucky draw prizes are better in quality and quantity too. Think its because of the young work force in KPMG, the prizes are also targetted more to youngest...lol ..they include Nintendo Wiis, Playstations, Xboxs, PSPs, iPODs and F&B vouchers..and not those home appliances like vacuum cleaner, rice cooker or such lol..but luck not on my side..so didnt win any prizes. But at least we have the table prize which is $200 Fairmont vouchers.
Playing dress up : Yuen She and Ted

Yuen She as Charlie Chopin

With my fellow peers, Sarah and KC

Yippee, finally managed to get our so call Love Nest yesterday. It was a rush and stressful day. Went viewing with Candice in the morning at Bukit Batok. Love the flat at 1st sight but as the owner is asking for 30k cov, we were a bit half hearted. Next, we went to Bukit Panjang. This flat as compared to the one at Bukit Batok was in a very much worse condition but the owner was asking for 35k cov! WTH.. the 2nd flat need a complete overhaul and renov cost should be quite substantial too. In addition, the location is not convenient. Have arranged with Candice to help us keep a lookout for other flats but in the meanwhile, we were quite tempted to get the 1st one we saw. We even planned to arrange to bring our parents down on Wednesday to view the flat and have arranged with Richard to meet us tonight to go thru our CPF and our financial strength. With all these arrangement in place, we have a more settled mind and headed to Orchard to watch New Moon.

Surprisingly, the movie is very much better than the book! I think its becos the book is very draggy and for the movie, they only show the main parts, thus it was overall quite an enjoyable movie to watch. Towards the last 10 mins of the movie, Candice called me saying that someone had made an offered for the Buki Batok flat, thus, asking if we wanna counter offer or not. Wah, that news was like a huge rock hitting on my head! At that moment, I totally lost concentration for the movie and was worried abt the flat… in the end after the movie, we quickly arrange to go pick Candice up and Law’s dad (need him to help us estimate how much the renovation would cost if we were to do the necessary areas) before heading back to Bukit Batok. Hee, in the end, we closed the deal with $32k COV.

What we like about the flat is that its very convenient. There are provision shops and coffee shop in the next blk and there is also a medical and dental clinic. Its within 5 mins walk to Bukit Batok MRT and the other side is the swimming pool. Its also convenient for me to take a bus home too. It’s a corner flat with recess area and 2 families (including us) on that level. So there would be a lot of privacy. Renov was quite properly done up and well maintained thus min renov is needed. J so for now, at least another big ticket off our list. From now onwards, we need to eat grass le..lol…so who wanna treat me lunch?!
