Lunch at Harris

Yesterday, we had a farewell lunch with my manager at Harris (opposite our office). Its my first time there even though the restuarant has been there like forever le! The food are quite good and so is the ambience.

All of us except Sarah had fish and chips. Their fish are quite special in that it came in small strips instead of the normal 2 big pcs. In addition, their fish are quite soft and fresh too. Love it!

Sakea

Met up with Jovis for a dinner cum gossip session on Wednesday night at Sakae @ UOB Plaza. Didnt know there is a Sakae there till she told me! And guess what, we went straight for the buffet! Jovis is my polymate and her AD is 2 days after mine. And somemore, we had the same BS! Thus there are lots to talk and to complain about (our BS)..lol

Nice meeting up with Jovis. Hoped to do that more often..erm of cos minus the heavy meal.

Anilao Diving trip

We had a great 4 days 3 nights diving trip at Anilao! Its my BEST dive trip that i have ever been too. BEST food, BEST accomodations, BEST services and most important of all, BEST company! Really. Its that good! Even though the trip did dig a whole out of my pocket, but its absolutely worth it! No regrets at all.

Our day typcially runs in this way:

Morning wake up --> buffet breakfast --> 2 dives in the morning --> buffet lunch with desserts --> nap for abt an hr (depending on how long we chat during lunch time) --> 1 afternoon dive --> 1 night dive --> bathe --> buffet dinner with desserts --> Martin (one of our DM) will entertain us with his nightly magic trick *chuckles* --> room serivce massage --> sleep!

I gained weight during this trip! How not to right! Its really a relaxing trip, with no rush for diving unlike dayang. Dayang is like, rush there, dive and rush back. No break and very tiring. But Anilao, its simply lazing ard, go for dive, being fed with good food, nap then more dives. Really miss the trip now :( In addition, the marina life we saw here were unlike in Dayang. What we see at Dayang which is consider as rare, are plentiful here. Not sure if i would be gg back to Dayang after this trip :P only make sense to save more and go for further trips. Overall grading for Anilao dive trip, 10 stars!!!

Fav breakfast : delicious pancakes! They come in the form of mango pancakes, banana pancakes, but my fav is the original ones. Even better than Mcdonald's hotcakes.

As its a rule that within 18 hours of taking plane, we are not suppose to dive. Thus our last dive ended on Fri night and our flight is on Sat night. Thus we had a whole day to ourselves on Sat. Jon suggested we visit mount Tagaywa.

Took a group photo on our last day. Only 6 out of 14 of us left early on sat. The rest only came back to Singapore on Mon. Haa, you can see, those in wet suits are those who stayed on.

As there was a revision in the airport tax, in the end we are short of Peso and we havent had any dinner yet. So we dig out whatever peso we have left with and see how much we got.

Its such a pethatic scence...hao..see Aree going to cry alr..lol

In the end we got 2 packets of chips and 2 bottles of mineral water to share among the 6 of us...hai..

In the end we bought the super expensive cup noodles on board which cost S$4/cup!

Anilao

Greeting from the sunny land of Anilao!! Yes Am logging in from the dive resort using Jon's lappie. There is only 1 word to describe my experience here. Its BEST!! My best dive experience, best dive sites, best accommodation, best services and best food!!!! Dinner is by the sea, under the starlight sky with soft music in the background and candles at the table. Its just marvelous here. Just one more day and we would be back in Singapore. So not looking forward to it...will post more and plus photos when i am back!!

Home alone

In my 20 over years of life, i have never been home alone..at least not over night. But from today onwards and for a continuouse of 6 nights, i would be staying at home..alone :( Why? Cos my whole family, together with my sis, BIL and niece have gone to Hong Kong for holiday. I didnt manage to get leave thus didnt join them :(

It feels weird actually..to be home alone. Have to remind myself to off all the lights, close all the windows and lock the door when i leave the house. Law keep saying that this is a good training ground for our future. Hai..that doesnt seems too promising hor.. :P

Anyway, before they are back, i am off to Anilao for diving. Looking forward to it! Its a break that i have waiting for a llooonnnngggggg time.

Finally

Finally i managed to get my camera!! Actually feel that its fated. Didnt managed to get it during the IT show when its selling for $399 with a 8G memory card, casing, tripod, screen protector and a camera bag. Now there is another promotion. For just $369, i get a 8G memory card, an extra batt, casing, tripod and the screen protector (ie minus the camera bag which i definitely wont use, i get $30 off plus an extra battery!). Hee..so its really a good deal! I wont be giving my nikon cam away (for those who are eyeing :P), cos would still need it underwater. Hai..just realised that next time when gg on honeymoon, i need to bring both cameras along!

Now am back in office. But with my "baby" (my new pink cam) beside me charging...my mood is slightly better :P Tomolo would be gg to be BS to choose the gowns! Hopefully it would be a fruitful trip. Ok now..its back to work..

Ah dear so sweet today. Knowing that i have been working horrible hours for the past few weeks, he purposely wake up early to fetch me to work! The extra hr of sleep plus another half hr in the car it just heavenly. Thanks dear!!

Stupid client

Pardon me, this is going to be a very negative post. I just wanna complain about my job and my client!!

I have been working at this Tuas job, lets call its a shit job for almost 4 months alr. Its the worst job in my whole audit career!!! The job is not just messy, but the client SUCKS big time!! Especially the Finance Manager. He is guy, but he act even worst than a woman. Its like he has got PMS every single second of his life! This is the nick we gave him. So Mr PMS has been very very very difficult, especially recently. He is just impossibly ridiculous. Feels like @#$#%$^%^ him!!!!!!!! For those who know how my job works, client is suppose to give us workings and audit schedules so that we can check. Mr PMS refuse to give us the detail breakdowns of his consol workings and he said that he would be SPOON FEEDING us if he gave us the workings! WTH!! How could he say that! Its his job to give us the workings and we check. We are not accountants. We are not suppose to work out the workings ourselves. We are auditors. We CHECK the accounts. We dont DO the accounts. He just dont understand this point! He is a super big A**H***!!! Argh!!!!!!!! So today, even though being a sunday, i still need to come back to work cos he refuse to give me the workings and i need to do it myself!!! Next year we are going to change the manager of this job to another guy manager (hopefully). As only him in our department would be able to handle such ridiculous ppl! This manager is super firm with clients and he wont give a shit if he scold them out right. Looking fwd to see how Mr PMS will react if he is talking to this manager..lol..wish him luck!!

Anyway, was at the IT fair yesterday. Have decided to get Canon Ixus 95 IS, pink colour and guess wat, its sold out!! I am so depressed now.. :(

Busy busy

Busy busy busy with reporting deadlines and as if we are not busy enough, ACRA decided to come to our firm to audit us...faint..so its rushing not only to meet deadlines for reporting, but worst still, to meet the deadlines for ACRA's review.

Weekend is out of the question for working as saturday is booked for our pre-marriage course, and Sunday got to meet Yishan for a final discussion with regards to her wedding next wednesday (yes, i am her jie mei). Anyway, am looking forward to Saturday cos after our course, we would be gg to the IT fair where i "most prob" gg to get myself a new digi cam! Decided to give up on my current one as i am the only one who knows how to use it and ppl who take pics for me, the pics always ended up being blur! No point getting a cam where u cant take a clear pic of urself right :p Am still trying to decide between Sony T77 or Canon Ixus 95. My current Nikon cam would still be retained for its underwater function...or if any kind soul out there wanna sponsor me a new underwater housing for the Sony or Canon??? :P

Prawning

For once, i dun need to work yesterday (sat). Thus made used of the free day and went prawning with Jiahui, Justin and Quentin. Its my first time prawning in Singapore. My every first try was actually in Taiwan a few years back. Back then we always went prawning during midnight (dun ask me why that timing..i also dunno lol..)

The prawning farm that we went to is at Sin Ming. Price as compared to Taiwan, is much more expensive. It cost us $30 per rod for 3 hrs. So we got 2 rods to share among the 4 of us.
