Honeymoon Day 8

Honeymoon Day 8

Today is travelling day: from Goldcoast --> Sydney --> Blue mountain. Luckily the flight i booked was at 11am, thus we can sleep a little longer :P
While waiting for our airport transfer
This hubby of mine is FOREVER sleepy.. and he can sleep practically ANYWHERE.

We are taking Virgin Blue for the domestic flight. I was impressed that even for a domestic plane, they also have individual inflight entertainment....then fter a while, i saw this message:

Duhz....

Flight to Sydney took only about an hr, but due to daylight saving, Sydney's time is ahead of goldcoast by an hr. Thus when we reached Sydney, its already 1pm. We were still contemplating whether to drive up to Blue mountain or should we just take a train. After some consideration, we still stick to our initial plan, that is to take the train. Easier and less troublesome this way. Sydney's train comes in double decker. It took us a total of 2 and a half hrs of train ride to reach Katoomba station (blue mountain)

Finally we are here at Katoomba!

We booked a bed and breakfast at Kurrara guest house. Its about 15 mins walk from Katoomba station. Totally love the guest house for its victorian setting! Very warm and lovely!

Its four poster bed with a HUGE welcome bear (sad that its not for keep)
Victorian style setting (mirror)

With a real lightable fireplace

Bathroom comes with a couple jacuzzi spa

I love the teddy!

Its VERY cold at Blue mt. When we reached its only 10 degree. We didnt expect it to be so cold and thus was only equiped with the normal sweater which i normally bring to Genting..duhz....

As the shops closed very early at Blue mt too, we quickly take shelter (for some warmth) in one of the last few restaurant that was still opened. We chose a Thai restaurant and guess wat we ordered? Tom Yam Soup of cos! Hot and spicy, just what we need.

Love their crispy wantons too

Think their tom yam was cooked to cater to the local's taste bud. Its not the least spicy at all. In the end, we have to ask for chilli flake to go with the soup.

There are radiators in Kurrara guest house, but the best thing is that, their bed comes with heater blanket which is really comforty and warm. Imagine the cold surrounding and you are warm under your blanket on the soft bed, with your the other half beside you..thats the best feeling in the world! :D
