Virgo Cruise - 22nd - 24th Feb

For those who know me well, they would know that i used to go on cruise about 4-5 times each year. My parents are not that rich lah, just that they are card members, thus can book the cruise using points instead of paying hard cash. But since i started job with KPMG, that rate has dropped to once a yr. The last time i went on Virgo was with my family and Law and that was in year 2006! So i have break my record for skipping a yr (2007) ..haha .. Actually there wasnt much things you can do on board. The main activity is to EAT and SLEEP!!! Serious! And of cos for those who gamble, there is the casino.

This time round, Trishelle went with us too. Its her first trip on virgo and she was so excited and hyper throughout the 3 days! Sad to saty, Law got to work, so he didnt join us.

The grand lobby of Virgo
My granny enjoying her welcome drink :)

For those who doesnt believe me that cruise is all abt eating, let me show u the pics:

Friday night dinner

Supper

Sat morning breakfast

And more

Sat lunch

Sat dinner

Dessert - Look at the size of those papayas!

Looking at so much food, how not to get fat! lol...but of cos these food are free on board.

Other than eating, we also went around taking pics and even brought Trishelle to a mini carnival and swimming on sat.

The squeezey cabin room

Trishelle took a liking to me! Hee..

Waiting in queue for a game at the mini carnival

My granny told me that on her last trip to virgo, she took a pic of a ship that was across the whole side of the wall. It took us quite a while to look for this pic, as there are altogether 3 stairways on each level and there is about 8 levels with such a wall. But nonetheless, we managed to find it :D

At the children's pool

After the swim , Trishelle with a satisfied smile :)

Actually at the carnival, we have played and earned enough points to exchange for a small gift and in the end we got a mini bear handphone accessory. this of cos goes to Trishelle. The carnival was in the morning. Andf by noon time, at lunch, one of the poor bear's arm got rip off..haha by her owner of cos

By the end of lunch, this is the state the bear is in....

Hahaha....ahem...abit voilent, but then Trishelle is only a baby afterall :P

One sick chicken

I am one sick chicken now. Just came back from genting with law over the weekend. As the diving trip was cancelled and Law has already applied for leave, we went to genting instead. But as a result from the trip, both of us got sick and i am on MC today..lol...coughing like mad..but at least i have the time to update my blog. Got a few entries to write, so stayed tuned!

So sad....

Just received a call from BRS saying the diving trip this coming weekend is cancelled due to bad weather…SIAN!!!!

The Zoo encounter

Bro-in-law got his company's free pass for Zoo and brought us there for a day's outing. Its Trishelle's 1st time to the zoo too. We met at 3pm cos our princeness need to sleep ... haha

First stop, at the Polar's. While waiting for the feeding of the polars, we started doing the usual, that is taking photos with Trishelle. Its actually a challenge to catch her attention long enough to capture a "straight-face" pic.

First: Left view

Then the right view and

At LAST! The front view!! haha

With granny

Was trying to self-take the 3 of us in the cam and guess wat, i even manage to get my dad in the pic too (at the back)..haha!

At last the polar showed itself

The bear in action

Some other animals that we saw:

Gross isnt it! Yucky!!

After zoo, met up with law and headed to Zion Road's mkt for my favourite prawn noodles! Its the best i ever had with their power soup and power chilli!

Simply irresistable!!

After that, went to catch Ah Long Pte Ltd. If you need a good laugh, thats definitely the show to watch. :D

Dinner treat from Law

Went to Ami's(@ sentosa, Isoff's outlet) for dinner, a treat from ah dear. We managed to get free entry to sentosa too! Hee..not becos of Law, but becos my dad "mis-understood" my instructions for him to stop at the ticketing booth, he actually drove fast it, thus all of us has free entry! lol..

My parents - taken outside Ami's
Its a chinese buffet dinner and its only for the 1st 15th days of the CNY. Isoff, the rest manager reserve for us excellent seats and we can overlook Song of The Sea from where we were sitting. Thanks pal! Food is quite normal, and the chef gave us a super big "Yu Sheng", but boy are their drinks expensive! My parents so paiseh to order drinks, in the end they only drank coffee and tea from the buffet table...duhz..only me, sis and bil ordered their juices/soft drinks :P

Yum yum

After dinner, ah dear got us tickets for Song of the Sea, so off we went :D

This is my second time watching Song of The Sea. Its the new musical fountain and now it cost $6 per entry. Think Trishelle enjoyed the show totally with the music and visual effects :D Thanks dear for the treat :)

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Finally i am in office on Valentine's Day. Had been at client's for the past few years. Ah dear gave me a suprise by sending flowers to my office! :) Thanks dear! 12 white roses

Haa and my colleagues insisted that i must take a pic at my desk..so paisei

Didnt really plan anything for the day but as ah dear is off today, we met for dinner.

Another suprise when i met up. He actually got me a gift! :P Sorry ah dear, your gift is still in the WIP (work-in-progress) mode now :P. We went to Minori, a Jap buffet rest at UE Square for dinner. The food is good and law simply loved their Californa Handroll. Guess how many he had?

At first its 4

Then another 2 more.....and lastly...

1 more! Notice there are 2 handroll in the pic, one is mine. So in total he had 7!! Think its a record man to have 7 California Handroll at one go!!

Here are some other pics:

Lobster with spaghetti and mash potatoes

Raw salmon (my favourite) and swordfish

Makis. There are "hidden" wasabi in the pickles maki, and this is how ah dear looks when he ate one!

Very mint!!

There are really tears coming out of his eyes.

Since Law has not tried Sake before, we decided to order 1 bottle (cold) to try.

It cost us $33 for 1 small bottle! About 4 small cups worth of Sake. The waitress then poured the sake into a glass bottle that has a hole (from the outside) in the middle so that it can hold ice wihout diluting the sake. Cool huh.hehe

We also had 2 cups of Chawamushi each. Simply love their chawamushi, very tasty. Was already bursting when the dessert came.

Not sure what is it. But tasted funny.

My present: 1 very sweet card plus a bottle of Xiang Shi Dou...haha
