Little Shiopping Spree

Have a little break from the normal busy schedule on Thursday. Went off early and met up with Law to do some shopping at Bugis. The main aim of the night was to get the balloons and ribbons for Trishelle's full mth celebration on Sun. But dropped by Bugis Junction for a little while, while waiting for Law and guess wat, Outfitters is having a sale! I got a dress for just $15 (original was at $59!!)

Anyway, bought the things as per planned and after that, went for a steamboat buffet at Liang Seah Street. The steamboat is not like the rest...as we had a porridge based steamboat instead of the normal chicken or tom yam soup based (but they do serve that as well). The price is cheap at $14.80/pax. They have gingseng in the porridge as well and there are methods paste on the walls to teach you how to make the base even tastier by putting the recommended ingredients in the base.

The services at the rest is excellent! Would give them A+!! The waiters are ever so friendly and anxious in helping us out. They would bother to help us crack the eggs and cut them up, teach us how to cook to make it taste better etc. Would recommend u guys to go!

Genting Getaway (29/06 - 01/07)

Went on a 3 days 2 night trip to Genting with my colleagues last weekend. It has sort of became an annual affair for us. Just exactly 1 yr ago, we went on a 3 days 2 night trip to KL. Hee..out destination for next yr would be Australia!!

There were 14 of us. We took 5 star coach to genting. The whole trip (tpt + hotel stay) cost us $142 each. The bus ride took abt 6 hrs and after we have settled in and have lunch, its was almost 3 pm. We headed to the outdoor theme park. There wasnt much ride, but i guess the most fulfilling thing that i have done on the trip is that I FINALLY SAT ON SPACE SHOT!!! Its those free fall kind of ride. Been to genting for countless time, but this is my first time on that ride. Maybe its because of the company. 8 of us went on the ride. Let what my colleague said," When u are on the ride, you would regret your choice of getting up there. But once u r down, you would regret if you DONT get on the ride." I totally agreed with what she said. Its really a once in a life time experience!! Not as scary as i tot it would be and its a must sit ride at Genting!

We were staying at Genting Hotel, thus to make full use of the hotel rooms, we stayed inside and started to play our "games" Looser would need put toothpaste on his/her face. Luckily i only lost once, thus holding an Ace card :P

Disappointed or not disappointed...sometimes when one thing starts to go wrong, all things will follow suit. I cant even enter my blog entries without hipcups. Was trying to update my blog on my weekend trip to Genting (previous weekend) and i realised that my Adobe Photoshop programme has been deleted since the last formating. Now i cant edit my photos, thus cant post my entries. Next, when i try to enter "this" post here, i found out that my title bar dun seems to be working...meaning i cant type in my title for this post...duhz.....

The main disappointment that i have is that i MIGHT NOT BE ABLE TO GO DIVING AT THE END OF JUL ANYMORE!!!! How sad can that be...waited for a yr..and now this...wasnt hopeful of gg at first as Law keeps on "stressing" that he might not be able to take leave as his new outlet just opened abt a mth ago and there are not enough manpower to work. But last night he told me that he had inform Jasmine abt the leave thingy and Jasmine said its all right to take leave. I was thrilled!!! At last a confirmation of gg!!!!! But then...just today..lesser than 24 hrs that i was told that we can go...Law told me that his colleague fell in the kitchen today and had fractured her ankle...would be on MC for 10 days and most prob gg to extend. This means that most prob we wont be gg for diving at the end of jul..... :~~<

Why does such thing always happens...why cant we just take a simple leave in peace. Its just a 3 days thingy... Its like until we ARE on the trip, if not there are always high chance that it would be cancelled..sigh..hate this kind of feeling...I know its nobody's fault...its just fate...but i just cant help feeling the way i am feeling now....

Born on 20 June 2007. My very own neice. Been waiting for her for the whole day and this lady was born only after almost 24 hrs of labour.. (poor sis). But she is so cute! Accordng to my BIL, she opened her eyes even before she was "all out" and when my BIL called her, she turned her head and looked at him. So sweet right.

When to visit her the next day and manage to hold her for a while.

Haa.. seems like we are looking at one tough cookie here. My sis went into induce labour last evening, but til this morning, still not much movement from Trishelle. In the end, the doc need to burst my sis's water bag...so now i guess should be soon :P

My sis is still feeling sad yesterday that Trishelle couldnt choose her own date to be born. But seems like this lady is DETERMINE to choose her own date and time to be born..haha got CHARACTER!

Chocolate Chips Cookies

Today is the opening of Law's new outlet at Beach Station (Sentosa), thus he would be super busy. As such, i was to guai guai spend the day on my own. Been a long long time since i last bake, thus decided to try my own receipe for Chocolate Chips cookies. First, you need to get all ingredients to room temp.

Butter, sugar, vanilla essence, egg, chocolate chips & flour
Put the butter, sugar and vanilla essence together Blend well

When u reached such consistency, you can add the egg

Blend well again

Shift in the flour

Add in my favourite; CHOCOLATE CHIPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mix the chocolate chips into the dough mixture

Take teaspoon of the dough and roll them into balls about 3cm wide

Place them in the oven and set the clock ticking!

When done, cool the cookies before placing into air tight container

Ah Guat's bday

Went to celebrate Ah Guat's bday on last friday at Velvet. Has been a tiring day...have to entertain my manager for the whole of the morning and in the afternoon have to rush down to client's place to pull my juniors pulled out (meaning last day on job, so have to go dwn and finalised everything with client and bring back all the files). Meet up with Law and Xuehui for dinner before gg dwn to Velvet.

Only when reaching then Xuehui mentioned that Citibank credit card holders can have free entry! I just received my card a few days ago!! But was too busy, thus never open the letter!! Aaarrrgghhh...... But anyway, had a great night! Been quite some time since i last went dancing..lol...even though i was dead tired when i reached there and was wearing contact lens, i still manage to stay awake til 4am! Had a bad day at work (and i am still at work now)..its rushing rushing and rushing for today. 3 out of 5 managers gg on leave soon, so need to rush things out for these managers. So equation of work life:

Rush + Super rush + Super duper rush + nosiy environment + headache + a table with overflowing files and papers + no time to msn + managers in bad mood + ITS MONDAY = BAD DAY AT WORK
