Lilypie - Personal pictureLilypie Third Birthday tickers

Happy 2 months

Happy 2 months Skyler boy! Today marks your 2nd month birthday. And how we celebrated it? With LOTS and LOTS of other Jul babies! Haa..its just a co-incident that the Jul babies gathering falls on the same day.

I took the first step and went out with Skyler alone, without any aid, ie no carrier or stroller. I hand carried him all the way. Luckily he was a good boy and sleep thru out. He only woke up for the phototaking and his feed, then he went back to sleep. No fuss, no cranky, no crying. Good boy ya Skyler!

Its was a very successful gathering with ard 20 babies. Managed to meetup with alot of mothers who we have only chatted in forum or msn. At least now I can put a face to the nick that i am chatting with :)

There are so many babies, we got to take photos in batches as the sofa is not big enough to hold all of them

Hubby's birthday

Happy birthday hubby! Hope you like your birthday arrangement..ahhaha which is practically doing nothing for most part of the day :P

As a birthday privilege, i release hubby of his nite feeds and let him sleep thru till 11am+ next morning. He woke up for lunch, laze ard a bit and went back to bed! Slept till evening , wake up, sing him birthday song then we went out for dinner. Sounds pretty boring for a birthday celebration right. But when u have a young bb with you, you would understand and cherish watever rest u can take and sleep all you want! I long for a 8hrs sleep without any interruption! Looking fwd to my birthday (hint hint :p )

Ordered cake from Awfully Chocolate and its AWFULLY DELICIOUS! The chocolate is so damn rich and yummy! We take a series of photos with Skyler and his expression are damn funny. lol.. see for yourself

Updates

Hello ppl, sorry for not blogging more recently cos was really busy and tired. For now, i can and will only update my blog or surf the net when i am pumping, other "free time" would be spend catching up on my sleep. Previously i cant even update my blog when i was pumping cos i wasnt using the handfree set, but now, its a total bliss :) i should have started on that earlier!

So far for now, i still have 1 kg more to drop to go back to my pre-preggy weight and 5 more kgs to drop to go to my ideal weight. But i realised that even with the weight dropping, my "size" doesnt seems to be dropping much :( i still cant wear my rings and most of my shorts..i wonder where all the weight dropped from...

Nowadays, my days are pretty much routine. In the morning, i will feed Skyler, pump, have breakfast, then prepare to go to my parent's place. At my parent's place, i would be on a 2-2.5 hrs standby mode to feed Skyler and to pump on a 4hrly interval. My mom will help with the feeding if i am pumping or eating. Then in the evening, i will bathe Skyler, apply all the creams/oil/spray (at least 6 types) then feed him again (on the 2-2.5hrly mode). After the 7pm show, Ai, my parents will fetch me home and i will continue looking after Skyler myself until hubby is back, who will take over the nite feeding shift. Thats pretty much a day in my life now..boring ya.

But for last night, i did all the nite feedings myself cos its hubby's birthday today. As a privilege, i excused him of all the feedings. Now my 2 boys are sleeping soundly. Skyler just had his feed and hubby was sleeping thru the nite and havent wake up yet! So envy..i am looking fwd to my birthday..lol..

Mooncake festival

Celebrated mooncake festival at hillview on Saturday. The condo management organised a get together party whereby they give out lanterns, catered buffet and provide mooncakes. There are popcorns, candy floss and various games for the kids to play. Its Skyler's first mooncake festival too! So i bought him a Thomas Train lantern. Haa, even though he doesnt know how to hold the lantern yet, but at least he enjoy the music coming from it and the light (he love to see lights..not sure why also..lol). But realise Skyler is a bit afraid to be in mist of crowd. My mom who was carrying him says he will crouch closer towards her body and remain very still. Wanted to join in the lantern walk at night, but Skyler was sleeping thru out and i was a bit late in gg dwn, so miss it. Nv, there is always next year :)

Skyler's full month celebration

Born on 25th Jul, we celebrated Skyler's full month party on 22nd Aug. Its a 2 in 1 celebration as its also our house warming party. I did up an e-invite using a pic taken during Skyler's infant PS n sent out a week or 2 before the actual day. Thanks to all the people who turned up for his celebration. It was a bit chaotic as there were TOO MANY ppl turning up at the same time..lol..some of them said they couldnt make up but eventually did turned up n some said will come later came at 12+.. so in the end the food tat we ordered wasnt enough n we have to re-order another round of food fom neo garden. By the end of the day, all of us were totally knocked out. Ok, lets just let the pics do the talking..

Busy busy busy

Been so busy since CL left thus dun have much time to do blogging. Now my life is not just eat, sleep n pump. Now it includes: pump, feed, burp, bath bb, change diaper, coax him to sleep, entertainment him when he is awake, wash clothes n do household chores. I dunno wat is sleep now..or relax meals... Everything has to be done in a rush in case Skyler wakes up.. will try to update my blogs when i have the time..still got lots of things i have yet to blog..till then!

Day 27

Skyler has been sick for the past few days with blocked nose. Brought him to the GP on wednesday and doc gave a nasal drop. At first he seems to be better, but till this morning, CL says that Skyler hasnt been sleeping properly in the night and is having difficulty breathing. Can hear the "xu xu" sound when he breathe. And this morning, he didnt manage to finish his milk as he need to breathe and drink via the mouth at the same time! S0 poor thing, thus we quickly brought him to a PD to have his mucus suck out.

We went to this PD at Jurong East. Got a good impression for this clinic. The nurses are very friendly and nice n am quite comfortable with the PD too. The PD told me that she is gg to suck his mucus out and assure me that Skyler wont feel any pain, just that they need to pump some water in to clear his nose, so he would for sure cry. The PD asked me not to see when they are doing the pumping process. At first i resist the temptation to see, but after hearing Skyler crying so loudly (he has nv cried so loudly before!!), i cant help it but to peep. Then i see one of the nurse holding Skyler down and PD putting tubes into this nostrils. Skyler was practically screaming and i felt so heartache when i saw it. Now i know why the PD advised me not to see..in the end, i was crying together with him...but luckily after this, he was feeling much better and was crying for milk shortly after that. At least he managed to sleep better and there isnt anymore of the "xu xu" sound.

Back at home, i can surely see that he is feeling much better cos he is back to his smiley mood again. :)

Taken today after coming back from the PD - smiling at me..hehe. i felt so sweet seeing him smiling

Cheeky face

This was taken a few days back; was playing with him and he was "laughing"..thou no sound came out..hahaha

Pump, pump

*Yawnz*...pumping away... (at 4.44am..)

To my breasts

Dear breasts,

I would like to apologize to u as I have not been appreciating u much in the past. I always feel tat u guys r a little too small to be paid much attention to n r just a pair of un-eye catching accessory to my body. It's only lately tat I realized how important the both of u r n I regretted tat I have not treat u guys better in the past. Also, would like to say sorry for abusing u guys n pushing u guys to the limit for the past 3 weeks. Really appreciated ur hardwork n I promised tat from now on, I wont take u guys for granted. I wld love u more n take better care of you. I will dress u better n give u better support. So THANK YOU n let's work hard together in the days to come.

Love,
Your owner

12 days old

Time really flies, for the past few days, i am just eating, sleeping, pumping and the cycle goes on and on..feels really like a 24/7 COW! Sometimes i am afraid that after 1 month, Skyler boy would reject me, cos afterall i am not his main caregiver for now. My CL is but i am always so tired to carry him. So for now, i try to bottle feed him as much as i can and carry and play with him when i am up to it. Hopefully by the end of the 1 month, after my CL leaves, he wont fuss so much abt me :P

Began my 5 days massage with Mdm Mas on Monday. It was so shiok after the 1st session! My back was aching like hell then and Mdm Mas managed to "cluck" my bones and loosen them..hmpf..the feeling is heavenly! Also after the wrapping i think my tummy did shrink a bit :P and finally i can see a bit of my collar bone alr! Lol.. Gambathe on the weight lossing effort! Tonight gg for follow up check up with my gynae. Will weigh myself again and hopefully its good news again hehe.

Yesterday we had the infant photoshoot with Allison. Before that, tried to make Skyler sleeps but he just simply refuse too! In the end, the photoshoot lasted from 10.30am till 1.15pm with feeding, burping and coaxing inbetween. He also pee 3 times ( twice on daddy!) and poo 1 time..faint. Didnt manage to capture alot of his individual shots cos once we place him down, he starts to cry, those that we are holding him are still ok.

Btw, we have decided to hold Skyler's full month party on 22nd Aug (Sun), lunch. Keep yourself free on that day ya. Once the e-invites are ready, i will send them out.

1 week old

A week has passed n Skyler boy is 7 days old! This one week just flew past with lots of adjustment n getting used to. Ever since i came home on tuesday, i have not slept longer than 3 hrs in a stretch, except for last night where i felt sick n didnt wake up for the ususal 4am+ pump. In the end i woke up at 7am+ n I felt so much more rested but with full, leaking n painful breasts. Its really tough being a mom..just pumping alr took up a LOT of my time n rest. Aching all over now. Luckily i still have my CL who take care of my boy, feed him, bathe him, change his diapers n cook for me just so i ca rest in between my pumps. Really not looking fwd to the day she is gg to leave.... sob sob.. also, during this period, i was pretty emo, which according to Dr Yam, its normal as my hormones r returning to its normal level, thus for a short period of time, the drastic decrease in hormone levels will make us emo. Lucky hubby is quite understanding n will humor me...hehe..thanks dear! Hopefully will feel better abt myself n everything soon.

Brought Skyler to the PD for his 1 week checkup yesterday. He has since put on abt 400g after discharging from hospital (birth weight - 3.3kg, discharge weight : 3.1kg, yesterday's weight : 3.5kg) n has grew 2cm. Jaundice level is low so dun need to sun him :)

This is now his fav position...wonder whats so nice abt smelling his own mittens..lol..

Bb Skyler has arrived

Finally after the long wait, Bb Skyler has finally decided that he has enough of my womb and wanna come out. Haa, i was still afraid that i might need to induce him out. But luckily my boy decided to be punctual and came out exactly on his EDD. Here is my birth story:

Started feeling mild contractions ard 8am on 24th Jul. At that time, it was 8 mins apart and feels like mild mense cramps. Since i have a gynae apptm that same morning, i wasnt too concern about it.

Did CTG at Dr Yam's clinic and confirmed that my contractions was at 8 mins apart. Also did the VE check and found out that i was alr abt 3-4cm dilated. Dr Yam asked me to go home to wait and if nothing happens by the next morning, i am to check into MAH to get my waterbag broken so as to trigger labour.

At night, i joined my family and attended Charlene's farewell party (she is gg to UK to study for 5 yrs) at Orchard Hotel. I took this opportunity to eat all i want before starting my confinement and that includes lots and lots of cold water!!!! Also ate a big bowl of durian puree!! Yummy..i am so missing it now!!!! (*hint - anyone wanna buy me durian when visiting? Heehee) Towards the end of the dinner, i can feel that my contractions are getting more intense and frequency has increased too. By 11pm, contractions became 5 mins apart. Called hubby to chase him to come home quickly (he was working and has got function at his outlet that night). By 2 am, checked into MAH. Was weighed and directed to Delivery Suit 3. Nurse did VE and found out that i was 6 cm dilated. Was given the "medicine" to clear bowels. By 3+am, i couldnt take it anymore and asked for epi..nurse checked and said i was abt 7-8cm dilated, too late for epi. On one side i was happy that i was too late for epi, at least that forces me to go all the way natural but on the other hand, the pain was killing me! I was telling hubby if this labour is gg to drag for another 3-4 hrs, i think i could die from the pain..lol... By 4am, i couldnt take it anymore and asked for the "laughing" gas. Hmm..it didnt really help much actually, so i was given penciline, a painkiller that was given via injection into the thigh. This also didnt help much. And so, the pain goes on until 5+am when i have the urge to push. I always read this "urgue to push" in the internet but not sure wat it meant. Now i know..its really like when u r having stomache while doing ur bowels n during those contractions, u involuntarily wanna push. As Dr Yam is on his way, nurse asked me to resist pushing..but i tell u, thats really quite impossible to control! Imagine all tat pain n still must control not to push... but anyway, Dr Yam reached ard 5+am~6am, so by then i was allowed to push!! This goes on for almost an hr n Dr Yam knowing tat i was exhausted from all tat pain n pushing decided to help me via vacuum. Thus bb Skyler was borned on 25th Jul 2010 at 645am, weighing 3.3kg.

Ta-da! Freshly delivered

A funny clip to share :D

39th week check

Went for my 39th weeks check today. Bb Skyler still no sign of wanting to come out..lol..no contractions, no "show", no nothing. But Dr John did mention that he dropped further down, which is a good sign. My next apptm is on Sat if nothing happens in between these few days. At 39th weeks, Bb Skyler weighs 3.4kg. Hopefully he doesnt get too big when its time for labour!

Hai, got a feeling i might end up needing to induce. My mom mentioned that both me and my sis are induced babies and both of my sis's kids are induced babies as well. So maybe it runs in the family that we all needs to be induced? lol... But its getting on my nerve when everyday there would be someone asking me if i have given birth or not, or why have i not given birth yet. I mean how would i know why i have not given birth yet? Bb just dun wanna come out loh. Thats such a stupid qn right! And its getting very stressful too when u see your peeps giving birth one by one and you are still waiting... hai... gg crazy over this waiting period. Really excited to see how Bb Skyler looks like. Hee, like me or like hubby...

KS diaper bag

Saw this Kate Spade diaper bag and am so tempted to buy!! Told hubby abt it and he just rolled his eyes and say i siao.. :(

So pretty right...

Confinement rules

Was chatting with Yuxi over FB regarding confinement rules and agree with her. Nowadays still got ppl who follow the rules? I mean most of the rules are quite ridiculous and redundant. Example of which includes:

1) cannot have a fan blowing directly at you - will cause wind in body

2) cannot bathe, wash hair or be in contact with water for too long (then i wonder who is gg to bathe the bb???) - will cause rheumatism during old age

3) cannot stand while eating or drinking - will cause womb to fall out

4) cannot drink plain water. Can only drink either red dates or logan tea - cant remember why no plain water..

5) must wear long sleeves top and long pants - to prevent wind from entering body

6) must wear slipper at home as feet cannot be in direct contact with the floor - due to wind also

Most of these rules are directed at having wind in body which will cause rheumatism during old age. But then again, for the old folks who have been reminding and demanding us to follow such rules, didn't they practice such rules when they are doing their confinement? If so, then why are they still aching and having rheumatism now? Whats the use of following these rules when it didn't work? That only means 1 thing. Such stupid rules doesn't hold. It dun mean that by not bathing, blowing fan, or not drinking plain water during confinement period = no aching or rheumatism. Aching and rheumatism are part and parcel of old age, unless you can prove to me that by following such rules, i wont be aching when i am old, then i will be glad to do it, if not, sorry to say..i will try my best to do it, but if stress + tired over caring for my newborn + PNB, these rules are the last on my mind. So pls stop nagging me to wear long sleeves, long pants, no fan, no plain water, no this , no that..its getting very irritating..

39th week

Just reached 39th week! Another 7 more days to go!

"Ru Zhai" loh!

We had performed our "Ru Zhai" (ie moving house) ceremony today. The date and time was chosen by our Fengshui master and we were taught what to do and what to bring in. Have invited my parents and inlaws to join us as the more ppl who attend this "ceremony", the better it is. Actually its not much of a ceremony. Its more of an official "entering" of the house and to bring in some household items to symbolise/bless the house with smooth and flowing wealth/luck.

Things that we did:

1) For the male master of the house (ie Ah Dear): he has to hold a lighted charcoal stove and upon entering the house, he is suppose to put the stove in a location in the kitchen (identify by the master) to make the house "Wang". A kettle full of water brought over from where we are currently staying (ie my inlaw's place) and cook it over that stove. Its to prevent "shui tu bu fu" after we have shifted in. In addition to that, Law has to bring in the 7 household item:

a) Cai - We used matchsticks for this

b) Mi - Rice

c) You - Oil

d) Yen - Salt

e) Jiang - light and dark soya sauce

f) Chu - Vinegar

g) Cha - Tea

2) For the female master of the house (ie me), i need to hold onto the "cash" which we uses gold coins to symbolise and upon entering the house, go to our house's "cai wei" ie fortune location and place the coins there.

For those guests who came with us, each would hold some auspicious items, like pineapple, our Fu Lu Shou statues or with just some cash/coins in their pockets.

Also to clarify some mis-practice on the Ru Zhai ceremony that most ppl do:

1) Charcoal stove : we are not suppose to "walk over" the stove when entering the house. According to the master, walking over the fire stove is only for bad luck ppl. By walking over the stove, its said to burn away the bad luck. So if normal ppl walked over, it would burn off our normal luck, thus its not good for the person.

2) Rolling of pineapple - We are not suppose to throw/roll the pineapple into the house. Hmmm cant remember whats the reason behind this (blamed this on pregnancy horomones), but we are told and reminded not to.

So after the small entering house ceremony, we have the 1st official lunch with the attendance of both families :)

Yummy food! After this, its followed by desserts : Tang Yuan, which symbolise Tuan Yuan for the family.

So now that the ceremony has been done, we can move in anytime we want :) So now its up to Bb Skyler to choose his birthday, after which once discharge from hospital, we will move in striaght away. So for now, its waiting and waiting and waiting for the moment..

On CTG AGIAN...

Went for my 38th weeks checkup today and Bb Skyler weighs 3.1kg. I told Dr Yam that i noticed lesser movement from Skyler for the past 1 ~ 2 days. After some checking, measuring and scanning, Dr Yam suggest that i do the CTG scan to check. And so, i was directed to Mt A for the scan. Haa i was a bit reluctant to go since i was at Boon Lay and needed to travel all the way down to Mt A at Thomson. Hmm..think Dr Yam must be thinking why this new mama so not anxious abt her own bb :P

So here i am, strapped to CTG at Mt A. After an hr on CTG, nurse declared everything is all right, no contractions as yet (Bb Skyler too comforty in mama's tummy) and Bb Skyler's heartbeat is very good and strong.

38 weeks

Another week has passed and bb Skyler is still happily and comfortably staying in my tummy. Hopefully he will stay there till at least after Thursday, cos Thursday is the day whereby we are going to do the "lu zai" ie moving house ceremony. After the ceremony, we can shift in anytime we want. So if bb Skyler decides to come out before that...then i have to do my confinement else where! So pray that bb Skyler is obedient lol...after thursday ok boy..be patient.

Bad memory during pregnancy - Its true!

Your Brain on Choline During Pregnancy

Lost so many brain cells, you're afraid you'll leave the baby on the bus? Choline to the rescue!

Can't remember where you left the car keys — or where you left the car? Showing up on Tuesday afternoon for a Monday morning meeting? Have your desk blanketed in Post-its reminding you to be home for that crib delivery — but managed to miss it anyway? Pregnancy forgetfulness has a way of sneaking up on you without any warning (or maybe you got a warning but you forgot). Here's a slightly unsettling, yet illuminating explanation why you've been having senior moments ever since you started gestating junior.

For sure, hormones play a part (the same ones that kick in when you're premenstrual — except they kick in at much higher levels, leaving you in a much thicker fog). But it also turns out — just as you suspected last time you spaced out when you were supposed to turn off the oven and ended up with burnt chicken instead of baked chicken — that your brain has actually been shrinking during pregnancy. Researchers have noted that the brain cell volume of pregnant women actually decreases during the third trimester of pregnancy, only to plump up a few months after delivery. So you're not imagining your brain drain at 38 weeks pregnant (and you have a valid medical excuse for why you forgot to pay the electric bill until the lights started flickering).

Finally the template is up

Hehe! Finally did it! Managed to put back all my links and tickers. This template is MUCH better than the last right? Been searching so long for the right one.

Template

Just changed my blog template. But still trying to find out how to put back my ticker and blog links..be patient ya.

Forum down

The Sgmotherhood forum has been down quite often lately. Dunno what are they doing man..i am so hooked onto the forum, now i am having withdrawal symptons, especially when i am on HL this week..super free at home and nothing to do.. Hubby said when i am super free, its not a good sign, cos my mind will start to wonder and he says i liked to think too much.

In some way i think he is true. Looking at my ticker counting down to THE day, its just another 20 days away +/- ..seems scary...20 days are very short. After that our lifestyle would change forever. I cant go out as and when i like, i need to accomodate to the timing of our "KING". I cant have undisturb sleep for 5 hrs in a row, cos i need to wake up for the feed/pump. And there are a lot of i cant this, i cant that...but on the other hand, in exchange, i would have our precious bundle of joy (hehe hopefully) in my arms, watching him grow and progress, an experience which no one else can take on :) so its a trade off :P

Am looking fwd and not looking fwd to THE day..haha so contradict ya.

37th week checkup

Went for my 37th week checkup today. Skyler's weigh went up by another 200g, ie now at 2.899kg. Progressing as expected and is an healthy and avg weight :) Mummy's weight dropped by 1.5kg this week! So happy! Hehehe.. But nowadays, walking has become a pain. Cant walk for too long..imagine carrying an almost 3kg bb + another 3 kg of water + tissue in front of you. So thats 6kg in your tummy alone. And not to mention loose joints (in preparation for the birthing process) all over my body, walking has become a more wobbly matter.

Was on CTG scan today. Bb Skyler doesnt really like to be strapped in..lol..and thus you can see the increase in heartbeat at the beginning of the scan.
Also did the Strep B Swap test today. Results would only be out next week..keeping finger cross.

37 weeks

Today marks my 37th week. Another 3 more weeks to go (max)! I am starting to get kan cheong alr. Last night i dreamt that i was admitted to hospital but couldnt dilate.. :( and they have to poke a thick needle into my left foot sole to help me dilate..duhz.. also nowadays, my 1st trim nightmare is back.. i went to the toilet at least 5 times last night...tired....

F8 Angels photoshoot

Finally went for our official maternity shoot with f8 angels today. Did it at their studio at Henderson Industrial Park and YES, we did went for the nude shots :P hope they turn out nice and artistic and not just some bunch of fats infront of the cam :P We had fun at the shoot and frankly speaking, even though the shoot only lasted for about an hr, the positions and stunts were more difficult as compared to our wedding shoot. Even hubby say so..haha maybe now i am not as light and as flexible as i was when taking our wedding shoot. Nowadays if i sat on the floor, i would need someone to pull me up. Not able to get up myself anymore. :P

After the shoot, went to collect some furnitures and appliances from auntie Roslyn for our new house. Thanks aunty Roslyn! Brought the items back to bukit batok before going back to my parents' place for dinner.

36th week checkup

At 36th week 1 day, bb Skyler weighs 2.7kg. According to gynae, its a good weight and estimated full term weight would be around 3.1kg ~ 3.2kg. He said with my height and size, no problem doing natural birth (that is if nothing corks up last min). From this week onwards, checkup would be on a weekly basis until i give birth. Next week's checkup would include the CTG check and Strep B Swap test. Not sure if he is gg to do a VE check on me..cos i am anxious to know if i have started dilating or not...will keep you guys updated. :)

36th week!

Finally i am at my 36th week!! Time really flies. Just seems like yesterday that i found out i was preggy and now i am at the last of my last stretch of pregnancy. Counting down to the last month, it seems surreal. In another max 4 weeks time, we would be meeting our dear boy, Skyler. Another one more week, ie 37th week to reach the so call full term, ie save to be born. Anytime before 37th week is considered as prematured. Have just packed my hospital bag, so anytime, we can just grab and go..haha always see this kind of scenario on TV..waterbag breaking, contraction starting and ppl was thrown into a frenzy and just grab the bag and go. But in reality, most time, we would have time to take a bath, have breakfast, before making our way to the hospital.

Apparently this weekend is a very good weekend to give birth. At least 7 or so July mummies (be it waterbag burst, scheduled csect or induced) has given birth. Annoucement, pics are flooding facebook and birth stories in the forum. Seeing and reading all these pics and posts are making me all nervous but also at the same time looking fwd to my own experience with labour.. ya, you didnt read wrongly..i really did say looking fwd to my labour..hee.. from the birth stories posted, even thought it seems a long process but i believe its what every woman would and should go through :) it would be a very valuable experience and process. So wait for my good news, my announcement and own narration on my own version of birth story.

25th....

Its exactly 1 month from now..counting from date that is..25th Jul.

To laugh or to cry

It was raining cats and dogs this morning. I decided to sleep in and call into office to report MC later. At some pt near dawn, hubby suddenly roll over to pull my tshirt down, over my exposed tummy (nowadays, my tummy is so big, my tshirt always ride up when i flip ard during my sleep). In my sleep i was still thinking, wah...so sweet of him..scare i catch a cold..then, he seems to read my thoughts and told me that, " I scare wait Skyler feels cold." I was like ...........................................................duhz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

35th week and counting

Time flies...now i am in my 35th weeks plus. Have been rushing to finish my work, get all necessary bb stuffs, buying furnitures for our new place, taking maternity shoots etc..its busy busy and busy. And becos of all these running ard, my feet have been swelling like nobody's business. But there are other ppl who told me that swelling means you are to due soon...dunno is it real..scary. There are still so much things i need to do but cannot do. Constraint by all the traditional chinese rules where preggier cant do this, cant do that. If not i would have done it LONG ago and not wait for hubby to do it for me. But poor hubby, he only has 6 off days per mth and since its World Cup ("WC") session now and sentosa being itchy backside are doing promotions for WC, thus they are even more busy than usual, so cant really take leave to settle all these thingy. So even though when i am free at home during the weekends, i cant pop over to our new place to get things done. In fact, i wasnt allowed there since the renovation started! But the good thing is that, reno is now complete!!!!!!!!!!!!! And we have decided that i would be doing my confinement at the comfort of our new place! Yippee!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only compromise which i made was that, we would only shift over after i have delivered bb Skyler. Ie to move in on the day i discharge from hospital. Why? Cos i am not allowed to move our bed before i give birth..so its either this, or to spend another few thousands and get a new bed..well..based on our finances now..i think this is the best choice..but who cares..as long as i get to do my confinement at my own place, i am happy enough. :D

So now, as i am not allowed at our new place, all my bb stuffs are still at my in-laws. I need to wait for hubby to move the things over bit by bit and to set up the cot, the steriliser etc all by himself and judging from his 1 off day per week ratio, i dunno how he is gg to do it in time. All this waiting has been making me very anxious and stress.. Gynae reminded me to be calm and not be stress as this could trigger early birth..so i am constantly reminding myself not to be stress (hey even this process of reminding myself to be calm can be quite stressful too! Its like when you feel like crying but is told not to cry), my feet swell doesnt mean i am gg to give birth soon..all things will fall into place nicely (when though i dunno how its gg to be done). I shall just concentrate on being calm, sit at home, shake my legs and wait for the arrival of bb Skyler, which should be another 2-4 weeks time...

On a happier note, 2 maternity PS down and 1 more to go on next monday. The last round was done by hubby and his cousin; Si Hui, her bf and one of Si Hui's photography fren. We did it at Krangji reservoir cos its THE place for us. We did our pre-wedding shoot there 1 year ago and 5 years back, this is where hubby asked me to be his gf :) Some preview shots:
Like this pic the most! Cos cant see my fat face !! Lol..

Finally my pump is here!

Busy busy weekend

Been yet another busy weekend for me. Nowadays, weekends are rarely rest days as all errands have to be pushed to then to be run (cos by the end of every weekdays, I would be dead tired to do other things). Anyway, this weekend, we went to another parent-natal workshop. We signed up for this workshop back in the March Baby Expo fair. Paid about $30+ and was told that the workshop is about tips on how to educate and take care of your kid..but alas..felt a bit cheated when we went for the course yesterday cos half the time, they were talking about insurance for your kid..duhz... parental tips was like 10% of the whole 2.5hrs of "workshop"

Oh well, at least some hands-on for the daddies..lol...

After the workshop, we went to the PC show. Yes, me being at the end of my 33weeks of pregnancy, bravely fought the crowd in the PC show! I am so proud of myself! lol..in the end, we bought what we wanted, a Canon inkjet for our new house. Bought 1 with the basic functions of print, photocopy, scan and prinitng of photos and cost us only $129.

Then today, i went for my maternity group PS at Botanical Gardens ("BG") with 7 other mummies! It was fun, but hot as well! But luckily the weather was kind to us..rather hot and sunny than to be raining. There are a lot of ppl at BG..and we are like zoo exhibits..lol..ppl are staring at us where ever we went. Can understand...cos when do you get to see the scene of 8 preggies walking ard, bared bellies..lol..but there are a couple of "ah nei" who were really irritating! They kept walking pass us and gawking at us when we were trying to take the shoot. They only backed off when 1 of the hubby went to tell them off...sicken ppl. After that, went for lunch with the mummies and headed back home. Was so tired that i napped from 2pm all the way to 6pm..my god..hoped i still manage to sleep tonight.. Allison (our PG) said we need to wait for about 4 weeks for the photo..so here is a sneak preview taken by one of the mummy using my iphone :)

Swollen feet

One of my worse day

32 weeks check

Went for gynae check today. Junior is at 32 weeks 5days, weighing at 1.917kg. Dr Yam say this is a good weight and estimated weight at full term would be at 3.2kg. Junior has already turned head down, but not engaged yet. Hopefully he wont decided to turn back up in the next few weeks! Next apptm would be in 2 weeks time. Btw, we have decided to name our boy Skyler. So, it would be Skyler Wee! :D

After that, we headed down to Motherhood fair at Singapore Expo and metup with Huiping. This fair is bigger than the last one in March. Maybe becos we went on a fri, there isnt alot of ppl and walking ard and looking at things were much easier. Finally stock up on diapers. We bought 3 packs of S size Pampers. Didnt buy any NB size cos the S size is good for 3kg - 8kg babies. 3 packs cost $45, which was about 18% cheaper than retail prices. Huiping bought a pack of Goon diapers for us too (as a gift!). Thanks gal! Also bought Winnie the Pooh wall stickers for Skyler's room. Cant wait to paste it up :P Also bought some other misc bb stuffs at the fair. After much consideration, we decided to give the bb cot a miss and use the one that Law's colleague gave us.
After that, sent Huiping home and headed down to Baby Kingdom to look for mattress for the bb cot. Didnt find a suitable one and thus left with just a bottle of Komodo detergent and softener. Next, we headed down to another area in Kaki Bukit to choose the lightings for our house. We need to choose 9 lights in total and suprisingly, it only took us about an hr+ to choose. Haa we tot we would take longer than tat! So another item off the list. Next, we went to Kiddy Palace at Marina to look for our cot mattress. Sad to say, the cot that Law's colleague gave were too "unique" and we couldnt find an exact fit..so in the end, we got one that is slightly smaller :( The length is ok, but its the width that is too short. For the time being when Skyler still doesnt know how to flip, i think its ok. Maybe will upgrade up to a toddler's bed after he knows how to flip bah.

Our last stop for the day was to East Coast where hubby met up with his car forum ppl to get some car stuffs which he bought online and guess who we saw?! We saw Chao Seng, my sec school classmate! He is a car frantic and would really spent a LOT (when i say alot, it means really alot!) on his car. Recently, he just change his car to Kia Coupe. Its lime green in colour and its goreous! Haa hubby was "drooling" away when he saw his car..lol..Jus his ICE (in car entertainment) cost almost as much as our house reno cost..faint.

By the time we reached home, i was dead tired, but we decided to pack and group the bb stuffs that we have bought so far into more organise group. Previously, they are still in their packs and plastic bags.

This is before we pack..but after we pack, it also looks something like that ..haha cos still in plastic bags..
