Soaking in the CNY mood
This year, hubby took more effort in decorating the house for CNY. We had a new coat of paint for the ceiling of our kitchen n hall (that's how my coach bag was stained!! By hubby!! Argh...) n we also painted part of the wall in the hall. More decors were up.

RP mommies CNY luncheon

Went for my first CNY lunch with my RP mommies. In case u r wondering what does RP stands for, it's Raffles Place. They are actually a group of dec mommies who worked in raffles place. We have been meeting almost every week for lunch.
Lunch today was at Peach Garden @ OCBC building. Quite a nice environment but super crowded.
The Yu Sheng was quite nice but the other food were so so only. Custard bun disappointing ....
Huat ah! Not all RP mommies are here. N there is a special guest; Cae.
Lunch were rushed as I needa be back by 2pm. But still it was a good lunch with good company :D

New year, new hair

Hubby n I went to Mark's place for a overhaul of our hair. I simply went for a trim n new dyes. Hubby on the other hand changed a new hairstyle, well which i would say is not bad at all.
Like alien which "feet" on my head lol
Hub looks like a porcupine lollll
The end result: mine- red highlights which wasn't really obvious when that photo was taken. But now, one week dwn the road, it's quite red.
Hub- copper brown colour. With this new hair style , he looks younger n not so uncle? Haha..

Finally
Finally gave up n went to resize my proposal ring. Partly cos I put on weight but mainly due to the expansion of my finger joint. Ring got stuck at the knuckles.
Just gotten back my ring.

My mommies buddies
Did I mentioned that while I was preggy with Jazelle, I get to know a bunch of amazing frens? They are my dec mommies. Fun, crazy, bitchy type of ppl. Hehe n I like them! We have regular lunch dates. Once in a while play date n recently we had a "Me Day" just to pamper ourselves n have a break from our kids n work. We venture to JB n did mani pedi, hair n some of them did massage too.
We took bus into jb n it's a first for many of them. All was so excited n nervous abt the trip. Lol cos of the frequency of robbery in jb most are paranoid. Our protective measures includes dressing lok cork style n carry sling bag. Trying to blend in like locals but I think we failed big time. Lol... Our target for the day was to have brunch at 顺顺肉骨荼 then to ksl for the various activities.
Our first time taking bus in jb. Practice here is to wait for the bus driver to come on board then pay the fare n get the tickets.
First stop, brunch. 顺顺肉骨荼 is a MUST eat when u r in jb! It's SUPER nice!

Most of us went for mani m pedi. Went to this place call Nails Studio for the mani pedi
Not a bad place n have wifi . However they are not very honest n have hidden cost in their pricing. But still, it's much cheaper than in Sg. At first I only wanted to do pedi as I have alr booked with Ruowei to do at Westgate. But the design n pricing is too good to be missed. So ended up I did both hehe.

I also went for wash n blow together with Tricia but it's a total flop. Got cheated as they merely brought us to the basin for wash
n blow. There isn't any massage etc.
For the trip, I bought a Chanel Handphone casing ( which I m using now! ) , a pair of shoe for Jazelle n some new yr goodies. Had a fun day! Hope we can do it again soon. Right mommies ? *wink*

CNY is coming !
Time flies n soon it's gg be Chinese New Year soon. To get into the festive mood, I m trying my hands on baking CNY goodies. Tried pineapple tarts a few yrs ago n failed miserably. Decided to give it a 2nd try this year.
I would say that baking the pineapple tarts isn't very difficult. The hardest part is in fact the rolling of the pineapple balls! Took me > 1.5hrs to finish 1kg of pineapple fillings.
Tada! The end results
The recipe is quite time consuming as it requires the freezing of the pineapple balls n chilling the dough. But the end result is amazing! I tried doing it last sat but my oven gave up on me halfway thru!! Argh! Ended up wasted my dough. Hubby brought me to courts to buy a new oven. This time round I did a little research n bought Cornell oven. The oven only cost me $99 n it's quite good :) did another round of dough for my balance pineapple balls.
Couldn't stop eating :p

Happy New Year!!
I m always very emo when it comes to special days like Christmas, new year countdown, CNY etc cos mostly hubby would be working n not ard. Seeing all the complete family photos posted by frens on fb wishing others a Happy New Year, I can't control but feel a little sad that my countdown is always wo hubby ard. (Swear in my next life, choose a hubby that is not in f&b line)
But nonetheless, I have my 2 precious with me, counting dwn comfortably on my cosy bed ( with the 2 of them alr in lalaland). 2013 has been an eventful year. Gone now is 2013 n I wished all the bads go together with 2013, leaving only the goods for 2014. Happy New Year everyone! Huat ah!!

I m excited!
Jazelle has turned one (gg blog abt her party n our cruise trip soon) ! N I have bf her for 12 whole mths ! I can graduate soon le as I had bf skyler for only 12 mths too! Am slowly decreasing my pump frequency n I m excited! Cos for the first time in 12 mths, I m not gg set my alarm to wake up n pump in the middle of the night!! Hehe. Ok off to my 6 hrs of sleep

U family Pinic
This happened last week but I still decided to blog abt it cos I totally enjoyed myself! I always wanted to bring my family for a Pinic but hubby wasn't keen on it. The u family Pinic was organised by ntuc n it was like a family day. I bought tixs for 5 pax thinking to go with hubby n my maid n 2 kids. But.... Hai... Hubby couldn't make it , thus in the end, went with my parents instead. We had fun n glad that I didn't skip the event :D
As its a Pinic, we had to bring our Own food. I cooked glutinous rice n made chix wings. Also brought
Watermelon n grapes. When we reached WestCoastPark, the carpark was packed to the max. End up we had to park illegal at the lorry carpark :(
Reached ard 6pm. Timing is a good choice as it wasn't that hot n there was evening breeze.
Jazelle can't wait to go gai gai

The U Pinic basket from ntuc. Paid $20 for 5 pax n was given this basket with coupons to fringe activities.

We quickly gobble dwn our dinner n set off to q for the fringe activities. There are balloon sculptures, face painting , pony riding (which I didn't know until it's quite late), candy house, popcorn , candyfloss, photo booths n photo stamps. On the dwn side of such event is that the q are super duper long. My maid q for the balloon sculpture for almost an hr! Meanwhile I brought Skyler to q for the candy house.
It's where we were given empty boxes, led into a house with a huge inflatable pool filled with sweets! So scoop to our Heart's content for the sweets!

After that I brought K to the photo booth mail n get our photo taken n made into stamp. Through out the event, bubble sticks were given n of cos Skyler had lots of fun with them.

Tired after all the activities. Ended the day with fruits n choco marshmallows (free from the store as they r closing)
